The stairs at the Yaquina beach access are quite steep with no handrails. Many people of all ages use this wonderful access but the lack of handrails is a safety concern as the steps are quite steep with drop offs and many steps are not level because of debris. Handrails would reduce the potential for falls and injury - especially for young children and the elderly or anyone with balance issues.

Hello. We live at the end of Cedar St NE. Cedar Street NE is accessed from NE Yaquina Ave. We have frequent delivery truck traffic (Amazon, FedEx, UPS, Safeway, etc.) down our road which is to be expected of course, but as of late, several vehicles have come down our road expecting to proceed strait thru to NE Lofgren Road. They proceed to the end of the drive and then down into outer ”lower 48” storage area. With the recent rains, a couple of trucks have gotten stuck, one hit out neighbor’s pasture fence and had to be towed out. Some driving-maps apps show Cedar St NE connected to NE Lofgren Road. True, on the plats, there is an easement but there is no road. We therefor humbly request that you install a “No Thru Street” or the likes sign at the intersection of Yaquina and Cedar to help alert drivers that they can’t get thru to Lofgren. Thank you for your time.

When stopped at the intersection of Yaquina and Ferncliff there is a group of shrubs to the left blocking the view of oncoming traffic. The cars coming down Ferncliff towards the ferry come around the bend and then are blocked by the shrubs making it dangerous for cars turning onto Ferncliff from Yaquina.
