  • Louisburg Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Northeast
During the week right before 5pm, the left turn arrow from Louisburg Rd north to Ligon Mill Rd is short, so left-turning traffic backs up the length of the left turn lane into Louisburg Rd. It seems that after 5pm, the left turn arrow is green longer so traffic flows a bit better. Can this be looked into and maybe the longer green arrow be extended a bit before 5pm?
  • 6308 Capital Boulevard Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District B

The stop sign by the Arby's on Capital Boulevard seems to be placed incorrectly. The stop sign is placed in the middle of an intersection of two roads, so stopping in front of the stop sign leaves you in the intersection.

This stop sign should be placed somewhere else in this intersection so it is clear who should be yielding to whom. An image has been provided for reference

  • 4687-4799 East Fowler Avenue Tampa, Florida - Temple Park

I was traveling eastbound on E Fowler Ave on a string of green lights until this light changes. After waiting for it to turn green, I approached E 50th St just in time for that light to change to red. After 50th Street was finally green, I was able to proceed toward I-75 without issue.

The problem with this light changing red is it blocks the flow of traffic going east/westbound on E Fowler Ave. It should be red when the other lights are red instead of stopping cars following all green lights.

  • 7000-7128 Louisburg Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District B
It is very difficult to see the lane markers at night since there are no streetlights or reflectors on this stretch of road. This is made worse by rain. Please look into installing reflectors to make Louisburg Rd safer to drive at night and/or during rain.
  • 3238-3298 U.S. 1 Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District B

I think the City has done a fairly good job of synchronizing this corridor through morning and evening rush hour, given the large number of intersections and cross traffic.

However, off peak hours, such as around 8:30pm and into the later night, it seems like every light is red upon arrival. And there are only about one or two cars in every direction traveling on the cross street and about five times cars more on Capital Blvd in either direction. So can something be done to ensure traffic flows smoothly through Capital regardless of the time of day? I don't mind stopping for a couple of lights but when they all turn red as you are approaching it adds to your travel time and wastes fuel.

  • 4401 North New Hope Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Raleigh Council District B

My morning commute takes me down Louisburg Rd toward downtown Raleigh. Traffic moves smoothly until it reaches the intersection with N New Hope Rd.

Is there a way to adjust the timing so that traffic moves more smoothly during rush hour?

The protected green left arrow to turn onto north-bound Leland Drive does not work. I am not sure about the one controlling the turn onto south-bound Leland Drive.
  • I-540 Raleigh, NC - Wake County

I-540 needs lane reflectors since there are no streetlights and it is difficult to see the lines at night, especially during heavy rain.

For example, as I was merging onto 540 East from Creedmoor Rd tonight, I could not easily tell when I was in the right-most lane due to the lack of reflectors. The wind and rain made it especially difficult to see the lines, so I had to merge over very slowly and try to orient my car with the car in front of me.

This is a safety hazard, and although traffic was moving slower due to the rain, I noticed some cars drifting into neighboring lanes. It is especially hard to tell exactly where your lane is when the road curves.

Lane reflectors could easily fix this problem and make 540 safer for everyone at night and in heavy rains.

  • Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC - Northwest
The left turn signal that controls traffic turning left from east-bound Glenwood Avenue onto Hilburn Drive always stays red, even when there are cars waiting to turn. The other left turn signal for west-bound traffic works correctly. Traffic will either continue going east-bound on Glenwood Avenue and turn somewhere else or turn anyways on the red light, so hopefully this can get fixed soon.
  • 1500 Glenwood Ave Raleigh, NC - Five Points
I see that most people will turn onto north-bound Glenwood Avenue after stopping at a red light. However, I noticed that there is a seemingly un-lit "No Turn on Red" sign posted. I am not sure whether this sign lights up to indicate when a right turn on red is not allowed. I simply want to know the circumstances in which a turn on red onto Glenwood is allowed. Thanks.
  • Centennial Pkwy Raleigh, NC - Southwest
A protected left-turn signal needs to be installed for traffic making a left from east-bound Centennial Parkway to Farmers Market Dr. There is too much traffic turning right into Farmers Market Drive that comes from Lake Wheeler Rd which results in traffic on the other side having to wait for at least a couple of light cycles. This applies especially to times when the Farmers Market is open.
