    5:00AM Jack-Hammering by Yale Contractors

Jerk-off suburban contractors couldn't give a rat's derrière about waking up the neighborhood.

This is on the roof of Yale's Child Study Center at 350 George Street, and not an emergency road repair.

    Derelict Telephone Pole - LEANING

In front of the new $30 Million dollar hotel.

Why can't the City get this pole removed? It's not being used for anything, and looks like the dickens.-

    ANKLE-BREAKER!

Someone, (NHFD?), removed a fire hydrant and left this menace behind. Won’t be long before some bar-goer wrecks themself on this hazard!

    Whose jurisdiction is this?

    DERELICT TELEPHONE POLE

When will this abandoned pole be removed? Looks awful as it sits in the foreground of The Blake, High Street’s beautiful new hotel!

    PARKED IN TRAVEL LANE
For well over an hour, no active loading or unloading.

Because why not? Who wants to pay for parking or walk thirty yards?

  • 323 George St New Haven 06511, United States - Town_Green

Cars and trucks parked in travel lane!

These vehicles could easily be parked/staging from RMS’ interior courtyard!

This is a real safety hazard. Please ticket and tow!

    High Street BLOCKED.

This street is supposed to be fully re-opened at night and on weekends. (That’s why the jersey barriers were replaced two months ago by plastic, moveable barriers.)

The RMS construction crew doesn’t give two sits about their neighbors, and left a couple of barriers in this downtown street, all night long. This creates a very hazardous situation, particularly if there was an emergency.

In front of Atticus Cafe there are two seemingly normal, metered parking spaces. However, the City has converted both of these spaces into a Loading Zone. As a result innocent visitors to New Haven are getting ticketed regularly, -- even though they're putting money in the meters!

Almost daily I warn someone parking on Chapel Street that the metered parking space they are pulling into is actually a loading zone. Usually I am met with incredulity, as the spaces sure don't look like a loading zone. (There is a barely noticeable sign, mounted too high, but the meters are normal meters, and there is no "Loading Zone" painted on the street, nor painted curbs.) Once I had someone park there anyway, insisting I was lying since the meters aren't painted red or orange, and the curb is normal.

Franky the cashiers at Atticus laugh when I bring up this issue to them. They believe it is a cynical plot by the City to generate extra parking ticket revenue. I tell them that it is more likely a case of the new Loading Zone never being implemented properly.

So once again I'm trying the SeeClickFix approach to getting this fixed. Fingers crossed!

Salsa night at Geronimo's should be a lot of fun. But it isn't fun for Geronimo's neighbors, as their apartments shake from the monstrous sub-woofers every Sunday night until 10pm. (even a block away.)

Why must the BASS be so INCREDIBLY LOUD? It's worse than any amped-up "ghetto cruiser" in New Haven, only the "salsa beat" continues unbearably for hours.

Is it even legal to have amplified music outside without a permit? Not aware of any other bars that do so.
