558 Central Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
This tree had its limbs removed years ago, and the trunk still stands here, growing spindly new limbs, serving as a symbol of failed local government. Can it finally be removed?

There is a dead skunk by the sidewalk. Hope it can be removed soon!
  • 576 Central Ave New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
A giant tree limb just fell from one of the condemned trees on Central Ave, crushing a parked car. Thankfully no one killed or injured, but if it had happened a moment sooner or later, passing motorists would have been hit. Meanwhile a dead tree near 578 Central has needed to come down for over a year. Please get out here and inspect these large trees before someone is killed or injured.

I witnessed a motorist driving through the parking lot at the vacant bank building, entering from Central and exiting onto Fountain with a left turn. This was to avoid waiting for a red light. I believe this is happening often, and it poses an unnecessary danger to pedestrians. As long add this building remains vacant, perhaps this lot should be closed with a similar barrier, either at the Central or Fountain opening, to discourage this illegal use.
  • Edgewood Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - Westville
Every morning around 8:00 am (but possibly other times), a left turn from Edgewood onto Forest can be painfully long, because only one or two vehicles will take the turn each cycle because of oncoming traffic. It would really help to have a very short (just a few seconds) left turn signal (or delayed green on the opposite side?) at this intersection. I know traffic timing is a complicated issue, but this might be worth considering. The left turn lane can really get backed up.

A large branch is suspended from a wire, by street near 578 Central Ave and apartment building next door. Cars park on this street and this branch is very large and looks dangerous.
