Slab poured several months ago by a contractor, for a new water fountain in the park, is crumbling already, and the contractor never even cleaned up. The concrete work is garbage and needs to be redone, and the mess they left, including a damaged and dangerous tripping hazard on the right of way and the sidewalk, is all untouched for months. Shameful.

Sidewalk along Townsend near entrance to Fort Wooster has been broken up for months. Gravel has washed away, and there is a significasnt tripping hazard. The company that put in a water line for the water fountain did a horrible job, the concrete is rotten and flaking, and they never cleaned up the mess they made.

I cannot upload heic files to this website, or I would give you ten pictures.
Sidewalk work on protruding joints that are a serious tripping hazard was not done correctly and in many places not at all. The contractor who did this bid did not adress the tripping hazard at all. They only did very shallow less than a 1/4 inch joints, and left all the broken slabs and all the slabs that are tripping hazards. My daughter fell and injured herself seriously. There will be lawsuits if new haven does not adress these serious hazards.

There are sidewalk joints several inches high, and here is a pic from last summer, because this has not been adressed yet. A contractor came and did nothing to the major tripping hazards. This HUGE tripping hazard is still there, as are many others. The bid was garbage, and the contractor only dealt with grinding concrete that was about 1/4 inch off level. They didn't even touch the big ones that are the danger. Please - adress this. An "executive assistant" closed this request without adressing it at all. Such incompetence at City Hall is shameful.

I could not upload the photos, but there was a company here last week going all up and down the sidewalks on both sides of Townsend Ave. The operator of a concrete cutting machine ground down a number of slab edges that were barely an issue at all, about 1/8th of an inch, in some cases 1/4 inch - but left the 1 inch slabs and the 2 inch and taller slabs that were protruding alone...? Are they coming back with another machine? It seemed like a waste, as they cut slabs that were not even an issue - I know because they did several right in front of my house, slabs that were not a tripping hazard at all!

There have been several reported sightings of minor in the parking lot of the adult theater, and of sexual activity in the parking lot at night. Internet research shows that the theater is being used as a front for a meeting place for people to engage in sexual activity in the theater. The Register and the Yale Daily News have sent reporters in the last 10 years, and the problem continues. This is not appropriate in a residential neighborhood, and is a violation of the intent of their business license (whicha lso apparently has issues). PLEASE investigate.

WE have two active sidewalk entrances and exits in front of Trinity church, onto and off of Temple St. People stand there on the sidewalk, in the driveway that is in ACTIVE USE, to wait for the bus. We have had several very close calls with toddlers there, and elderly drivers, or people on their phone or with buds. We need SIGNAGE warning people: ACTIVE DRIVEWAY, or lines, or bumps on the sidewalk - anything to alert people not to stand there.

Tree work needed in the entire park, especially the Marlin Estate side. There was a homeless person living in a tent up there, and the garbage is all still there. Trees in the lawn are falling down rotten. Also, the hedge has been "trimmed" - more like shredded (!) by totally inappropriate equipment. The garbage by the bus stop needs to be picked up.

Trees along edge of Twonsend ave. are in such bad dhape that they are falling into the street, and posing a hazard to cars and pedestrians. They also look terrible in the park.

large broken areas, cracks, depressions - have caused people to fall, especially people with walkers.
Also large areas of blacktop missing at edge of Trinity church lot, where sidewalk meets it - I have seen people stumbling and falling there.
Not sure whose responsibility this is, but the city repaired these spots in the past because their snowplows tore up the asphalt pavers.

Two lights are out and flashing continuously for several days now. Number 163 and pole next to it, same side of street, next to bus stop, which has no number.

It has almost been two years now. It is dark in front of the church, a very busy major sidewalk right next to bus stops. The tall architectural lights also do not work.

They have not been working for a few months. This is a VERY active church, even at night, and we need the light on our parking lot and sidewalk.

The storm drain at the corner of the church, by the side entrance on Chapel St., is clogged up and a large lake forms there in heavy rain. I think it contributes to the flooding we have in the church basement.

The lights are out on the pole that is at Chapel and Temple. A few of the street lamps in front of the church are also out.
