  • 950 Lasalle Avenue Waterford Township, Michigan - Waterford
For years now the two storm drains on lasalle ave and downing have been clogged with debris resulting in fairly deep flooding every time there is any amount of rain or snow thaw. It's been happening for some time and now the pavement in that area is showing signs of regular potholes that form there and some are very deep, swallowing tires right to the rocker panels. High traffic doesn't help, especially around rush hour as many motorist choose to cut the corner of telegraph and m59 and bypass the light there by cutting through my neighborhood. Often at very high speed as its now a race to beat traffic around that corner. There are a lot of children in this area but people in these speeding cars don't seem to care racing around 45 to 50 mph on a 25 posted limit. In addition, lasalle ave, from the area described with the road flooding, is also far narrower in width, so much so that when larger vehicles meet it forces one to drive off the road. It's very odd as the width of the curb is the same across the road as it is on much of the street but the pavement is missing from the intersection of lasalle and downing all the way out to telegraph in a 3 foot strip. All this results in all kinds of pavement crumbling and very deep potholes. Please look into these issues, they have existed for years now and continue to worsen with neglect.
