2969 Macarthur Blvd Oakland, CA 94602, USA - DimondFront wall facing MacArthur Blvd vandalized by serial offender "RESTA". Note re location: a comment to a previous graffiti report at this location indicated that Code Enforcement had initially not done anything because the facility address was not properly listed in the city's system, apparently being shown as "0 MacArthur Blvd."

2425 Macarthur Blvd Oakland CA 94602 - DimondNearly billboard length "RESTA" graffiti vandalization atop Prospect Hill Apartments building, 2425 MacArthur Blvd. Separate smaller graffiti lower down on same wall. Reported April 2 (after waiting a more than reasonable amount of time for the property owner to responsibly address the issue without getting the City involved); service request #722620 was assigned. Later contacted Code Enforcement for follow up and was advised they don't use the service request numbers (of COURSE not . . . that would make too much sense). After I provided the street address they did not respond to my requests for status. Unknown if City has cited property owner or otherwise done anything. This very large, prominently-sited graffiti has blighted the Dimond neighborhood for nearly half a year now.

It is a blight in and of itself, and its continued presence encourages periodic vandalization of lower areas of the building. Please make clear to responsible parties that they are required to abate *all* graffiti, not just that which they can reach by standing on the sidewalk on their tippy-toes.

The tar that was used to fill it has come out, and the adjacent road surface is also coming apart. Result is a deep hole that is difficult for outbound MacArthur Blvd traffic to avoid.

THIS NEEDS TO BE HANDLED ON A PRIORITY BASIS. It is not a garden variety, degraded road surface issue; it is a small and inconspicuous, but very deep, hole which causes a jarring, severe bottoming out of a vehicle's suspension if driven into. It WILL cause property damage and generate claims against the city, if it has not already.
