3401-3409 Pickard Avenue Northeast Albuquerque, New Mexico - Stardust Skies Park
Leaking fire hydrant. At the NW corner of the intersection of Pickard Ave NE and Dellwood Rd NE, the fire hydrant appears to be seeping water. I noticed this condition for several days during a recent visit to family.
  • 8408 Cherry Valley Lane Alexandria, Virginia - Mount Vernon
The sidewalk at the location (the West side of the street) has a section that is very uneven and is a tripping hazard.
  • Mcnerney Ave Ne albuquerque, NM - Sandia
The old street signs were in all caps, e.g. MCNERNEY AVE. The new street signs are in upper and lower case and spelled "Mcnerney" while the correct capitalization should be "McNerney".

  • 8099 Richmond Highway Alexandria, Virginia - Mount Vernon
There is a power line that crosses US-1 just north of the VA-235 intersection. From the east side of US-1, this power line (or some type of utility line) has a vine growing onto the line. The growth has become long enough that it is across almost 2 lanes of northbound US-1. It seems that this growth should be removed for safety reasons, since it could weaken the line and the vine will start to hang down on the road.
  • 605 14th Street Northwest Washington, District of Columbia - Downtown
A metal plate has been used to patch an spot on NB 14th street for years -- I have seen it there on my commute. There are now traffic cones on the plate. Thus, the lane is blocked with little warning.
  • Henry G Shirley Memorial Highway Arlington, VA - Arlington
The guard rail that is installed in the area that separates the on-ramp from the northbound GW Parkway at the NB 14th Street bridge has been smashed up and sitting in place for a very long time. If it is truly needed, e.g., as a protective device, then it should have been replaced soon after it was damaged in order to again function as a protective device. If I isn't required -- doubtful -- then the crumpled railing should be removed. Plus, it is an eyesore, giving a heavily-used DC entry point a shabby look.
  • S. Washington St. Am Hov Lanes Alexandria, VA - Old Town
On a regular basis, cars are parked in the northbound (right lane) of S. Washington St., blocking the HOV lanes. Alexandria should do some early morning towing at 7AM a few times to get the message across to the drivers who can't read the signs.
