The Quality Dairy warehouse that caught fire over a year ago still has boarded up windows and smoke stains going up the walls in the front of the building on S. Washington. This building in its present condition is an eyesore, they could replace the windows and door while working on the interior.

The receding flood waters on the Red Cedar in the Elm Street area to the point were it joins the Grand River have left the trees and bushes full of plastic and paper debris that is hanging from the low branches. Looks really really bad and maybe from sewage overflow during the flood. That is a health hazard and really gross!

Someone stopped by in the middle of the night[3:30 a.m.] and took the sandbags that were holding the sidewalk detours signs in place. Not a big deal except he stole them and one of the signs has fallen over.

There is new graffiti under the Washinton Ave bridge the Elm Street bridge, under the CN railroad bridge and on the wall near the Moores Park near the BWL plant. Some of which is offensive.
  • 811 East Mount Hope Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing

I am posting this issue, here again, I believe that the new "wayfinding" signs use the wrong form of the word capital when referring to "The Capital Complex". It should be "The Capitol Complex" as it is the Capitol Building's Complex. The Capitol Complex is in The Capital City! It is spelled correctly on the Capitol Loop signs. Please fix this error.

There is a cap missing from a water access port in the middle of the sidewalk in front of the building that is being rehabilitated at the corner of S Washington and Elm. It is an open hole in the sidewalk that is dangerous when covered with snow. Please fix this before someone gets hurt.

East Mt. Hope from Aurelius Road to the 127 overpass has become very bad again. The patch jobs are falling apart, and large potholes are opening all along this street especially near the cemetery and the entrance to Fenner Park.
  • 1000 South Washington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Please contact the owners of this building and tell them to turn off the lawn sprinkling system. There is a sheet of ice on the sidewalk in front of this address and many people have nearly fallen. It is very dangerous!

Part of the metal siding on the steam towers at the BWL plant on the Grand River were blown off last winter and have yet to be replaced. A rotted wood structure behind the siding has been exposed that is very ugly, and gives the neighborhood a feeling of urban decay, which is added to by the weeds growing out of the walls near the damn. Please get the BWL to take care of these structures.

I live in REOtown and I know it is noisy here, but there is a new loud machine noise coming from the GM plant. It is a wheeeeering sound that sounds like a far off siren. It goes on all night, when you can most plainly hear it. It is the loudest at S Washington and Elm. It's not super loud but it does go on and on and is very annoying and comes through my open windows.
  • West Elm Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
I have noticed that the river levels are very low right now, so it would be a good time to clean up all the dead trees and branches in the Grand and Red Cedar rivers. The area in front of the rail bridge over the Red Cedar between Beech and South streets is almost totally blocked by branches and is dangerous for people using the river.
  • 100 North Grand Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The seating area next to the Rotary Clock is still unattended and choked with weeds and grass. This is a very proportionate corner in our downtown that many visitors pass by. Why has it been left this way, and way doesn't the Rotary fix the steam works in the clock? Their name is on it they should be taking care of it.
  • 100 North Grand Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
I was looking at how nice the flowers on the Michigan Ave bridge look, when I noticed the area on the end of the bridge near the "not working" steam clock. There is a small seating area and a historical marker that is chocked with weeds and grass. It looks so bad and is right in the middle of downtown.
  • 619 East Hazel Street Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
Many old tires have been dumped on the side of the vacant build next to the rail road tracks, as well as other junk. This area can be seen from the river trail.

The grass behind the apartment building has yet to be mowed this season. It is over a foot tall now and full of mosquitoes.

I was at the Pow Wow on Saturday, and found the area of Adado Park by Shiawassee were the nautilus wall sculpture is to be full of trash and choked with weeds. This was "be a tourist day" and the park should have been cleaned up before the summer events began.
  • 927 South Washington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
The area behind the apartment building has not been mowed this year as of yet.
  • 1102 South Washington Avenue Lansing, Michigan - Lansing
It is not a big issue, but people have begun parking on the wide sidewalks in REOtown during large events. There could be no parking on sidewalks signs there to avoid this problem.
