Cox cable wire is hanging down from the power line on top of the mailbox at 107 85th Street, Virginia Beach. The wire was broken by a backhoe doing construction at 8502 Oceanfront Ave about 2 weeks ago. It has been hanging for about 2 weeks now. The wire is probably 30-35 feet long and has been spilled into the street where the traffic is high due to the access to the beach at the end of the Street. It is possible that the wire could get tangled up in an automobile and perhaps pulled down from the power line above, which could create an big electrical incident, maybe resulting in injury or a lawsuit or both. Cox needs to immediately come and remove the excess wire from above the mailbox to prevent any accidents. Cox also has an excess of
cable wire hanging on the telephone pole No. EKO5 in front of 109 85th that should be removed at the same time. This is a safety issue that needs to be addressed right away. Cox has had trucks in the immediate area over the past week or so according to a neighbor and did nothing to remove the broken cable.

East end of 85th Street cul de sac. This light was repaired in January of this year after being broken by wind and tree limbs. That does not appear to be an issue at present

DK53 N1219 IS BETWEEN 113AND 115 85TH STREET. THIS IS THE 3D TIME I HAVE REPORTED IT. IT WORKS ABOUT 2 DAYS A MONTH. IT IS THE ONLY LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOCK. WHEN IT DOES NOT WORK, THE STREET IS BLACKED OUT. THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM DATING BACK OVER 18 MONTHS. DOMINION POWER NEEDS TO FIX THE TIMING OR SENSOR DEVICE PERMANENTLY AS THE BULB DOEN BURN OK-WHEN IT CYCLES ON. IT IS PRESENTING AN OPEN INVITATION TO CRIMINALS AS THEY CAN ALWAYS COUNT ON 85TH STREET BEING BLACKED OUT AT NIGHT. SEE THE PHOTO TAKEN ON JAN 11 AT 7:35 PM WITH A FLASH CAMERA. I HAVE MANY OTHERS SHOWING IT NOT WORKING AS WELL.

The light is operable about 10% of the time over the 30-60 days. Mostly off.
