    Cars are often parked dangerously close to (and sometimes on top of) the crosswalk across Forest Street near the post office and daycare center. North of the crosswalk cars often park illegally between the driveway crosswalk. There is a marked parking space immediately south of the crosswalk, but it is too close to the crosswalk in violation of design standards which require 20 feet clearance between parking and crosswalks.

    This crosswalk is heavily used, especially by small children, and parked vehicles obstruct the view of drivers looking for people crossing. I understand that the parking near the post office is in high demand, but this is a critical safety concern that should supersede the convenience of post office customers.

    Finally, given the desirability of these parking spaces, some form of daylighting obstruction (e.g., flex posts) will be needed to enforce the parking restrictions.

    cars queue and park on the wrong side of Powder House Rd for pick-up and drop-off at the St. Michael's school. until this can be resolved, I would like to see enforcement of the Massachusetts Anti-Idling Law (MGL Chapter 90, Section 16A). Children walk past these cars to access the school and other bus routes on High Street. and the cars are idling in front of my house, where two young children live.

    The new lane control markings on Somerville Ave as it approaches Washington Street need to be placed further in advance of the intersections. Cars travel through in the right turn only lane during every cycle. Consider enforcement to protect safety of cyclists using the bike lane.
