Recently on Friday's between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. a MATCO TOOLS truck that is overweight for this residential area has decided park to eat lunch in his noisy diesel truck which he leaves running & spewing fumes. He will not leave, though asked. The SP police have been called several times, but never come when he is there. This in addition to the tractor trailers which park on A RESIDENTIAL Street every day and night behind Kristina's Restaurant. INACTION by the city leaves the residents effectively living in a TRUCK STOP.

This pothole in the middle of the street has been sinking for weeks. Someone has placed a cone in it for now, but the City needs to take a look & schedule a fix. At the rate its going cars may not be driving around it much longer..

The fence bordering the alley has leaves piled up against it 12" + in some places. Someone has also piled brush & tree trimmings on top of the leaves. The fence is rotting & sagging in the alley and the fence on the 42nd St. side has bulged out and broken boards. From all the rain the rotting vegetation is beginning to smell & lots of insects are nesting in this 25- 30' long pile.

There is a big beautiful Oak tree in the backyard of this property and its roots have grown far into the alley upheaving the pavement and creating a hazard for vehicles and people.. Don't know how this gets fixed without harming the tree

The unattended overgrown vegetation is connected to the jungle @4226
  • 4226 Burlington Av N Saint Petersburg, Florida - Central Oak Park Neighborhood Association
The vegetation growing out into the alley has not been attended for 10 years. It's the role model for the creeping Blight that has grown outward in both directions down the Alley
  • 4227 2nd Av. N. Saint Petersburg, Florida - Central Oak Park Neighborhood Association
This lovely pile has been there so long one can barely see the extra large TV underneath the vines that have grown over it and the additional brush piled on top
  • 4201 2nd Av. N. Saint Petersburg, Florida - Central Oak Park Neighborhood Association
The leaves and trash and furniture grew along with the pile of leaves & trash across the alley.
  • 230 42nd St. N. Saint Petersburg, Florida - Central Oak Park Neighborhood Association
In the last 2 wks the leaves piled next to the fence in the alley has grown from 1 pile to another pile directly across the alley behind 4201 2nd Av. N. . Next came the garbage/litter added to the piles & the crowning feature...an abandoned couch.! This is just the END of the alley, inspired by the middle?

recently while house sitting at an adjacent property I smelled something foul. Upon investigation I observed the backyard has some sort of open compost heap which is the source of the overwhelming stench. There has been erected at least one structure composed of bamboo with some sort of roof and a lighted inside with what appears to be some furniture contained within. I also observed many feral cats coming and going from the property. I placed a humane trap adjacent to the property & So far at least 8 cats (eight) have been trapped & removed by Pinellas Animal Services & that is by no means ALL of them as more
are still coming and going. likely this is an additional source of the incredibly offensive odor that assaults ones nose. Additionally there is a major uncontrolled overgrowth of trees & plants & grasses. It is difficult to imagine why no one has reported any of these violations unless they are afraid of retribution. The property is in obvious violation of both City & County ordinances & I look forward to expedited action on the part of the City to make corrections
