  • 2029 88th Avenue Oakland, California - Castlemont
Residents at 2029--88th Avenue put their couch out on the sidewalk almost a month ago. No scheduled pickup by city or private garbage hauler. Wet, full of mold and blocking the sidewalk.
  • Sidewalk camping Acknowledged
8423 International Blvd Oakland, California - Woodland
We have been watching a homeless encampment on International Blvd. at 85th Avenue grow larger by the day. Tents have been erected, garbage piles up and prostitution, drinking and drug use are in plain sight. While sitting in our vehicle waiting for the light at the intersection to change, we watched a man bend over & defecate on the sidewalk. We then saw a woman get up and off a man's lap and wipe herself. This "activity" is only two blocks from the Rise Community School with young children passing by daily. The sidewalk camping has been in place for over a month and goes ignored by law enforcement & other city departments.
  • 23rd Avenue And International Blvd. Oakland, California - Hawthorne
Mattress has been dumped on 23rd Avenue at the corner of International Blvd. It is resting against the post, but is falling into the street. Drivers making a right turn onto International Blvd. from 23rd Avenue actually have to drive OVER part of the mattress to make the turn.
  • Street Camping Acknowledged
1644--87th Ave Oakland, California - Webster
Broken down camper either limped over or was towed (it has a flat tire) and is now parked on near 1644--87th Avenue, just above Holly. Majestic brand camper--white with blue striping, license plate # W0243. Ratted out, rusted, full of holes and bed sheets stuffed in the crevices everywhere and over the windows. No stickers on the one license plate on the front of the vehicle. Clearly someone's living in there. Probably using the boarded-up property across the street to do--ahem--the personal stuff. Please get someone out there to tow this vehicle. It's been parked on various side streets in the neighborhood, moving from street to street for some time...and it's gross what goes on.
  • 1651 87th Avenue Oakland, California - Webster
mattresses and other garbage have been dumped on the street in front of the house. Hazard to parked cars, vehicular traffic.
  • 2264 E 17th Street Oakland, California - Rancho San Antonio
Camping for the last 3 days in a white Minnie Winnebago next to Garfield Playground, across the street from 2264 E 17th Street. The occupants seem to be gone during the day, but present by candle light at night. There have been a lot of noises and movement at night in the shrubbery next to the side entrance of the school down the street. This a safety/hygiene issue that should be addressed immediately given the daily proximity to small children.
  • Illegal Dumping Acknowledged
2284 E 17th Street Oakland, California - Rancho San Antonio
Mattress and wooden bed frame dumped next to Garfield Playground. On the sidewalk, across from 2284 E 17th Street, leaning against the tree.

  • 2268 E 17th Street Oakland, California - Rancho San Antonio
Stolen/Dumped Vehicle...driven and parked across from Garfield School about 7 am this morning. Engine is still warm, license plates have been removed. Black Chrysler 300, sun roof open. Bumper looks scraped like the driver hit something and took off.
  • 1651--87th Ave Oakland, California - Webster
House has been boarded up and empty for over 2 years now. Graffiti has started to appear on house. Backyard is used by local homeless. Driveway has turned into massive garbage dump (tv's, etc.) and is inching toward sidewalk.
  • 8814 Holly Street Oakland, California - Webster
a LOT of garbage has been dumped in the street (you have to drive around it). It has been in the roadway for over a week now. It is on Holly Street, just in from the corner at 87th Avenue. There is a house across the street with an address on it (8714 Holly Street). It's pretty dangerous to have this much debris sitting here this long.
  • 2278 E 17th Street Oakland, California - Rancho San Antonio
Church of Tonga Barbeque weekend--we watched church congregants take a wooden futon frame (?) out of their vehicle and prop it up on the fence outside Garfield Municipal Playground. We thought they'd use it to sit on while they were here all weekend & take it back home with them. It's still there.
  • 2272 E 17th Street Oakland, California - Rancho San Antonio
Church of Tonga Barbeque weekend party. Congregants of the church came for the entire weekend and we watched them left a huge mound of garbage, about 4 ft wide (mostly fast food containers, glass bottles) stacked on the ground next to the telephone pole. Pile is cascading on to the street, located on sidewalk between Garfield Municipal Playing Field and Garfield Elementary School. Garbage from their event is scattered randomly up and down the street as well, but is worse in location above.
