Request from a hospital employee: with this major storm coming Saturday I know our plow crews are going to be working extra hard and that you've all been short staffed. Please stay safe and know we appreciate you!!

Our little street often gets plowed pretty late. Could a plow please be sure to come Marlin Drive by Sunday morning so I can get to work at the hospital by the afternoon?

    Thank you!!

Trying to connect with DPW - our little street often doesn't get plowed until much later than main roads. I work at the hospital and have to be in by 4 pm - could a plow please come by Marlin Drive by 3 pm today?

DPW acknowledged a SCF post from 12/17 stating, understandably, that they were still focused on clearing priority roads and would come back by our street when time permitted. Three days later, our street remains with large piles of unplowed snow on the sides and main roadway that is still snowy and slick. Could we get a plow to come by again and finish our street please?

We spoke with guys from NPL who are doing the gas line work in the neighborhood - they say they did not put this 10 foot long asphalt patch on our sidewalk. They think Department of Public Works may have done it. All we know is we came home one evening and this ugly patch was right in front of our house and we’d like it gone.

Leaves Not Picked Up - we've got three bags of leaves that weren't picked up today ... hoping DPW can grab them before the snow - they're in regulation bags, same style as was picked up by the City last week ...

We saw a skunk, in the middle of the day just now, walking slowly and erratically outside of our house, walking in and out of traffic and at times falling over. He seems quite ill and possibly rabid. A "helpful" Samaritan came by and got the skunk into a garbage can that was out on the curb in front of 97 Clinton Avenue and now, it's sitting in there.

We called the non-emergency police line who helpfully informed me there was nothing any officer could do and to call 203-468-5261 for wildlife control. This number goes directly to a voicemail that is full and can not receive messages.

We and our neighbors really aren't sure what else to do about this. The skunk is likely still alive, the can absolutely reeks and it's sitting outside of their house.

    Thoughts? Suggestions? Help!!
