Missed yard waste pickup today. One medium plastic barrel dark green on corner of Hartz Street and Eastern Ave.

This is my 2nd time reporting this issue. There is a white picket fence running along the front of my property on top of the retaining wall. This fence is in need of replacement and is the property of the City. I have verified that this fence was installed by the city from three separate sources: My neighbor Ken Phillips, retired Gloucester Fire Chief (it also spans his property), my real estate company J. Barrett who showed me the detailed site map, and former Gloucester Mayor Bruce Tobey, who originally had the fence installed. There is no question that this fence (and the retaining wall) is property of the city and the fence is currently a hazard as it will not stop pedestrians from falling. It is also unsightly. I will also be contacting the mayor's office about this issue.

I'm fed up with this as it happens every time we have a significant snowfall. The plows take all the snow from in front of Jeff's Variety (across Hartz Street) and dump it on my sidewalk on Eastern Ave. There is no way I could possibly clear that much snow from my sidewalk. I put in a lot of hours and only make a dent at it. I understand that Jeff's is a business and he needs to be cleared, but it is very unfair that this snow is dumped on my sidewalk. The city needs to remove it from my sidewalk, as I can't do it. If you look on the Hartz Street side of my residence, you can see that I have removed the snow. But on Eastern Ave. there is 10X as much snow because it was all pushed from Jeff's to my property. The pictures I have make it clear and I watch them do this. I have many more pictures. This is unacceptable and I will be making a complaint directly to the Mayor's office on Monday.

A truck either dropped or illegally disposed of a wet-dry vacuum machine. It is in several pieces and on my sidewalk in front of my house. I reported this to police when I noticed it over the weekend. This item needs to be picked up.

The sidewalk in front of my driveway on Hartz Street is completely crumbling apart, and there is a deepening hole into the dirt underneath the crumbled away pavement. This is a hazardous situation, as someone could slip or trip and have a nasty fall. It is also an eyesore (see attached photo).

I am on the corner of Hartz St. and Eastern Ave. My trash was not collected today.

There needs to be a no-parking sign on Hartz Street closer to the intersection with Eastern Ave., on both sides of the street. Right now there are only faded cross-hatch marks on the pavement and they are totally ignored. In front of my house people park illegally on the sidewalk and there is no enforcement though I have spoken with Gloucester Police many times about this. It is a dangerous situation where traffic making a turn cannot pass and there are backups onto route 127. There have been several accidents including one where a car ran into my house causing $8,000 damage. I have been complaining about this for a long time and nothing ever happens. I would appreciate a response to this serious long standing problem.

I witnessed the truck that caused this. It was a truck from North Shore Scrap Steel in Gloucester, 978.815.1893. I took pictures of the damage and the truck, but I can't upload them to my computer at the moment.
