The crosswalks desperately need to be repainted, but especially the crosswalk on spring street at Stevens street. It needs to be repainted with paint that will last more than a couple months, as the last time is was repainted the crosswalk paint were off very quickly. In addition, there needs to be some sort of cone or indicator to drivers that that is a crosswalk. People are constantly blowing through that crosswalk, even when I’m in it. There’s four different streets that intersect there and people go by very, very quickly. So some sort of 3D object needs to be there so people are aware that they need to slow down.

Still wondering why the town has YET to paint any crosswalks, but painted and then removed double yellow lines on many roads in town?! What a waste of paint, resources and labor that should have been used on painting the crosswalks!! Specifically on spring street/ Stevens street!!! This is a MAJOR safety issue and a lawsuit waiting to happen should the inevitable incident occur if these keep being neglected!!!

Speeding on spring st. I notice that occasionally an officer is pulled over on spring near vinton st and will pull over many cars while stopped there, which is great! However when they are not there, which is the majority of the time, people regularly drive 40+ mph down the street. I did a separate report asking for the crosswalks to be repainted, but when people occasionally do notice there is a crosswalk I am trying to cross in, they have to slam on their breaks and come to screeching halt as they are driving so fast. There's also a ton of kids that walk up and down it from school, and between that and all the families that live around spring I get very nervous with all the speeding. I don't know if the answer is one of those radars that tells you your actual speed or what else can be done, but it's a real problem.

The crosswalks in the entire town are in dire need of repainting, but specifically the crosswalk at the spring st/Stevens street intersection. It is already a dangerous intersection as people exiting Stevens street barely look to their right (where the crosswalk is) when they fly out trying to merge onto spring. But the crosswalk is barely visible and people don't even slow down a tiny bit, regardless of the lady and baby carriage waiting to cross. I am posting another issue regarding the speeding on spring street because that doesn't help the issue of trying to cross, regardless of how visible the cross walk is.

I live at 48 spring st and would like to request a new crosswalk from my house to the sidewalks across the street. Where my house is located, on a busy double yellow line road, there are no side walks to the left or the right of my house, and there is not even a flat area to the left or right where I could walk my dog or push a stroller without being on the main road, which isn't very wide. There are side walks across the street from my house, but traffic, coming especially from the left when facing the sidewalks across the street from my house, do not see me standing in my driveway due to a small hill. No one ever slows down or stops for me to cross, and it makes me nervous that I have to sprint out of my driveway to safely walk around my neighborhood. If there was a crosswalk, at least cars would be required to stop. I realize my house is the only one this would help, but I have a dog and baby on the way and I fear that something bad may happen as there's no way to safely exit my home on foot.
