  • Scott Blvd @ North Decatur Road Decatur, Georgia - North Decatur
The number of westbound cars who run the red light on Scott Boulevard turning slight right onto North Decatur has increased. Neighbors like myself on Medlock waiting for their green light which only last for 8 Seconds almost get hit every single day by those running the light. Put a camera at this intersection with fines for running the light.
  • Medlock Road North Decatur, GA - North Decatur
Cars are continually running the red light on Scott Blvd headed west onto N Decatur at the Medlock/Scott/NDecatur signal. As we sit at Medlock awaiting our 8 second signal to travel south, we ready ourselves to get across the vast intersection as quickly as we can and perhaps allow 1 or 2 other neighbors to get out too, BUT when the Scott Blvd traffic keeps running the light to make the slight right onto NDecatur at fast (I.e. we just came off 285) speeds, we risk our lives taking our turn. Today I watched 5 cars run that light and my hand was on the horn the whole time. Once one car does it the others follow suit. 5 cars ran the light!!! This is not unusual either. Will posting a No turn on red sign help?
And I'm one of the lucky ones, I'm going straight at that signal and I travel post rush hour, but still this happens.
  • 201-251 Champlain Street Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Water fountain at Waddell Park does not work and looks tampered with. Walking group comes by all the time and its never worked in 2 years.
  • 575-599 Medlock Road Decatur, Georgia - North Decatur
So the pot hole formed, was filled, sunk and has reformed. Looks like a tiny sink hole and beside it is a sunken drainage grate. Combine those 2 very noticeable dips in the street and the short signal, and its a jostling nightmare to proceed. Note, its at the signal where, as locals, we all know we only have 8 seconds to cross and thus try to scoot on our way only to wreck our alignment twice at this signal. Medlock needs attention especially now that WalMart is open and its the street trucks depart from.
  • 1030-1098 Commerce Drive Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Branches hanging so low that they cover the stop sign exiting the First Baptist Church DECK parking onto Commerce, they obscure folks on sidewalks, traffic approaching in a turn, and especially bad right now while construction occurs across the street limiting and changing the lanes of traffic flow.
  • 247 West Howard Avenue Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Cyclist traveling properly as a vehicle, cannot trigger the green for the signal to proceed straight across street to PATH trail. Cars turning right insist on going left around bike to turn right while we wait, cars turning left go left, thus no vehicle heavy enough remains in the lane to trigger the light to turn green. Nor does getting off the bike, walking over to the push button and calling it. Stuck at light...I could still be there waiting.
  • 404 Sycamore Street Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
The length of the signal delay is unbearable in this heat on a bicycle. Can you shorten the signal or speed up the approach sensor to trigger sooner on Sycamore?
  • 1253-1299 Church Street Decatur, Georgia - Decatur
Regular bike commuter here, in Decatur there are two issues with trees at signals that almost cause collisions daily. Southbound Church at Glen Lake Park has low hanging branches that prevent one from seeing the signal until the last minute. And even more dangerous on Church at Medlock and Forkner the trees prevent you from seeing the signal on till the last second. I have almost been hit at both multiple times because folks cant see the signal at all.
