The metal speed bumps located right where the sidewalk ends on one side, forcing someone to cross the roadway to get to the sidewalk continuing on the opposite side presents a tripping hazard. If a person sticks to the crosswalk they're fine, though a more natural way to cross, given the location of the sidewalks, is on a diagonal, leading a person across the speed bumps. I, stupidly, have tripped and fallen over these twice in the last few months, and have the banged up knees to prove it. Yes, I should be more careful, but it seems that this might happen to others as well. It would be better to put the speedbumps where pedestrians are not crossing the street.
