I have been noticing lately a person in a yellow vest directing traffic at a 3 way stop sign near campus. I am wondering if this is MSU and if this is actually needed? I have seen MSU yellow vests on campus and at this location there is no representation of anything to who is directing traffic. Not even city of Mankato markings. I am concerned this is someone possibly setting someone up for an insurance scam. The other day I noticed a second person in just a simple yellow vest standing in the cross walk before the stop sign. It just seems odd without a presence of MSU security vehicle or a local city vehicle that just anyone could direct traffic. A crossing guard would make sense but directing traffic seems strange since there are stop signs.

I remember reporting this issue last year and it still hasn't been fixed. The issue is the left turn signal from Raintree Rd going onto Adams St towards Hy-Vee is extremely short. Not even 1 car can get halfway through now before it turns yellow. It is even worse during winter months trying to get through when there is snow on the ground.

Would there be anyway to have someone monitor the merge area on Raintree Rd. I live in the town homes and it is a very hair raising turn at times. There is one merge right sign on the road. Yet, making a left turn into my residence is not always easy. There have been many times I go to make a left turn and someone is trying to pass on the left. Or if I just stay in the left lane others will follow us into the left turn area but will quick merge right almost hitting other traffic. The left turn area starts just at the entrance. If there can be more signs or extending the center turn lanes around the corner more that may help make it easier for the turn. Google street view actually captured a SUV in the left lane that never merged right.

As long as I can remember there has been a 4-way stop at Malin St and Ellis Ave. It was removed for some reason this last fall. I grew up in this neighborhood and now take my kids to daycare there. My parents still live in the neighborhood as well so I am no stranger to this neighborhood at all. Since removing both stop signs this once quite neighborhood road has become a autobahn. Can the city at least put the stop sign back by the daycare area. The other thing I didn't understand in the removal of both is Highland Ave. got a brand new sidewalk. Now there is no stop sign there either? If someone would like to contact me by email on the reasoning behind the removal of both those stop signs it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing this isn't a public maintained road but the road between Panda Express and Cub Foods is, in nice terms, outrageous. There are so many potholes and they are very hard to avoid. I'm not sure if the city can get after whoever maintains that area but it really is a problem there.

The left turn arrow on Raintree Rd going onto Adams St towards Hy-Vee is extremely short. 1 vehicle will get through and it changes. If there are 3 or more cars at the light the other 2 will run the light. When it snows and there is poor traction the first car will never get through the light.

Not sure if State Patrol or Mankato PD can monitor the round-about at Madison Ave/HWY 22 but there is an issue there. Its happened to myself 5 times this week. While traveling east on Madison Ave I was in the left lane going strait through the round-about. However, the right lane has now become a left turn which it is not supposed to be. By that logic all car coming south on 22 would not be able to go east on Madison Ave if that were the case. I sat at Panera and counted 12 cars in 15 minutes using the right lane going east on Madison to go north on HWY 22. Maybe this issue has been brought up already but it really should get monitored and someone should educate those people about the proper lanes to use.
