I just wanted to thank you for paving the short section between the bike path by the river and the bike path by Shepard Rd. I had suggested this a while back but never got a response, so I didn't know it was ever going to happen. In the future, could you please post a quick reply just so users like me know we are being heard? Thanks!

The bike trail through Hidden Falls is closed due to flooding, but there is no sign at the entrance from Mississippi River Blvd, so bikers ride down the steep hill and along the river, only to find they must turn around and go back up the hill. Please put a sign at the entrance to the park saying "Trail Closed Ahead." Thank you!

I biked through Crosby Park this morning, south to north, only to discover as I exited that the park was closed for bow-hunting. I did not see a "closed" sign at the south entrance (sorry if I missed it...I did see one at the north end). Yes, there have been posters up for weeks, but without a sign indicating the park was closed it did not occur to me that today was the first day of hunting. I'm lucky I didn't get shot with an arrow, and the city is lucky it didn't get sued. I would simply like park staff to be more consistent about such postings. Thank you.

Can you pave the short section where cyclists cross from the main bike path to the path that goes under the bridge by the boat docks?

Can you pave the short section where cyclists cross from the path by the river to the path by the road?
  • Hidden Falls Bike Path Near Highway 5 Bridge Saint Paul, Minnesota - Highland

I commute by bike from Highland Park to Downtown, often via bike paths through Hidden Falls, Crosby Park and Lilydale. When flooding causes closure of these paths, the flooded areas are blocked off, but there is no warning ahead of time so bikers must either turn around and go back (sometimes for long distances and up steep hills) or go through the woods to get around the closed section, neither of which is optimal. It would be simple to place a sign at the bike path entrance (on Mississippi River Road at the top of the big hill into Hidden Falls, for example) stating "bike path closed ahead" or something similar.

Also, there are sometimes missing or contradictory signs (see photo, taken yesterday at Lilydale). Thank you.

Huge crack in pavement near construction on 11th. Should have a metal plate covering it.
