We placed our garbage and recycling out one day later last week, per the holiday schedule we received notice of from Public Works (see image below). It was not picked up.

Please advise if garbage and recycling will be picked up this coming week and whether or not the schedule will actually be adjusted for the holiday. Thanks.

My garbage was not picked up on Friday--only the recycling. Our usual pick up day is Wednesday, but was moved to Friday this week because of last week's storm. Public works came on Friday but did not take garbage.

Can this be picked up ASAP, before the next storm and another garbage pick up delay, please??!!

Many months ago, UI installed a new utility pole at this location. However, the old pole remains there--it looks like its propping up the new pole.

The old pole was placed on a slab of wood by UI in what looks like an attempt to prevent it from falling under the crumbling street curb. Its not working as the picture shows, the soil from under the wood slab is eroding.

In addition to being a safety concern it is an eyesore and very trashy looking. UI tied the two utility poles together with what looks like electrical tape and some wire!

It has stayed this way for at least 6 months. Since this has moved beyond a blight issue due to soil erosion, I am reporting it now.

A large, old tree was to be removed by UI because damage from a downed power line killed it.

They were to remove the tree to just under the electric lines so that the Parks dept. could remove the rest and the neighborhood could plant something in its place.

For some reason, UI did not realize that some sort of power or suspension line was bolted into the tree. They stopped cutting and said they would come back and do it "later."

Nothing has been done and there's been no communication as to when this will happen. The way the tree was left is ugly and until UI finishes its job, Parks cannot do its job and residents cannot replant and beautify the area.
