6 months ago I saw a work crew raise two sides of this building and demolish the foundation underneath. They built temporary supports, which are resting on an adjoining retaining wall that probably isn't spec'd to take this load. 6 months later, the building is in the same condition, raised on temporary supports with no foundation. This is a safety hazard. It would not take much for these supports to be compromised, and for the entire building to come down on anyone inside. Given how frequently this building is breached by teens and homeless folk, injuries are likely. Please hold the landlord responsible for bringing the property up to code, or seize it and demolish it. This property has been an eyesore, nuisance, and safety concern for over 15 years.

more in an ongoing blightfest that the property owner should be held accountable for.

The condition of this street is a disgrace. The street has a large trench running down one side for close to two blocks. very bumpy ride, I'm sure it's causing premature wear on everyone's tires. could you just fix these already? this street has never been serviced once in my 17 years in this neighborhood.

This property, and the half-lot behind it at 2409 25th Ave, have been vacant and unmaintained for over 15 years, and have become magnets for illegal dumping, graffiti, squatters, and drug trafficking. Neighbors have been steadily filing blight, nuisance, and non-emergency reports since that time, as well as repeatedly attempting to engage city officials via NCPC meetings and making calls to our neighborhood PSO and city council member. This lack of responsiveness is extremely discouraging to our neighbors, who, again, have been practically begging for 15 years. In the meantime, the only thing that keeps the illegal dumping under control is the charitable efforts of a local church. The building was formally condemned in 2010, but again, the city has no plans to demolish the structure or otherwise rehabilitate the property. Please help!

P.S. The attached picture was actually taken on a good day, when the graffiti was minimal and the dumping had been recently hauled off. It regularly gets far worse.

Dodder is an extremely aggressive weed that can quickly strangle even a mature tree, and is currently threatening many native species. It has been identified by the State for aggressive removal. Here, it is growing on private property completely unchecked. Needs to be eradicated before it spreads elsewhere.
