These limbs came down in the recent gale on our property from the city tree whose lower trunk is in the center rear. I moved and aligned them in here in the curb lane of the street in front of our home at 36 Lincoln. I have another side-view of this pile but am not sure I know how to attach it in this message, so it may be in a following message. This side view captures the length details - about half our lot width. I am requesting that the New Haven Trees Department remove them.

Missing stop sign due to recent sidewalk addition:
The recent addition of a sidewalk and curbing along the north side of Pearl Street from Orange Ave. to the Yale Campus entrance behind the Business School has eliminated a serious pedestrian hazard. However the removal of the Stop sign for westbound Pearl street vehicle traffic at this intersection with Lincoln St., necessary for that construction, has revived the hazard that was remedied by installation of that sign last year. There is still a Stop notification painted on Pearl Street at this point, but that has not deterred traffic from cutting the corner into Lincoln Street at high speed. Please replace the missing stop sign and restore these streets to safety.

Tree branch broke and fell from street tree into the street sometime last evening or this (8 August 2022) morning. It temporarily blocked our common (36 & 38 Lincoln St. 06511) driveway. We were able to budge it to open the drive, but it's a major limb and needs to be removed by Public Works.
    UPDATE:
The Public works arrived within a couple of hours after our request this morning. They were quick and efficient in the removal.
    Many thanks! - Norman Chonacky

Root heave in front of 36 Lincoln. I have my office in front of the house and have observed numerous people stumbling here (lots of foot traffic). Many other homes within several hundred feet of this point on both sides of Lincoln have had side walk root heaves repaired by grinding in the past months ... can't understand why this was not.

There is street marking "School" missing from Lincoln Street in front 14 Lincoln Street. There is a label on the street that was written there by the city department responsible for these. But while all the other street markings have been applied by the contractor responsible to applying these after the recent paving, this one seems to have been missed. The label says "school" but the street marking it specifies has not been done,

I am attaching an image file containing (1) a photo of one of two habitually clogged storm drains at the NW corner of the Lincoln-Bradley intersection in New Haven; (2) surrounding that photo are two previous SeeClickFix requests for remedy to the street lakes at this intersection that form because of these drains are habitually clogged due to their defective performance. I have cleared these with fork and wheelbarrow a number of times recently, and the defective design continues the re-clogging scenario. I ask the city to at least put these on a recurrent drain pumping list if the won't fix the design problem. BTW - look carefully at the attached image. It captures four years containing two SCF requests. City Streets Office - How long is your list and what determines priorities?

There is an tan Toyota parked a full car width out into the street in front of 28 Lincoln Street. Its license tag is:
    AZB-A78 (Florida).
It has a valid zone 3 sticker, but it has not been moved since the snow glacier receded two weeks ago. I doubt whether this person lives on Lincoln Street. It should at least have been tagged if not towed long ago.

As president of the Lincoln-Bradley Neighborhood Association I am consolidating a group of requests for tree stump removals from city property (i.e. tree lawns) that are conflicting with a tree planting effort sponsored by the Urban Resources Initiative. The planned trees are replacements for those removed by the city for safety reasons over the past several years. They were aged, morbid, and routinely shedding large limbs. The residual stumps were never removed after the city cut the trees down. The locations are:
    #37 Lincoln
    #31 Lincoln
    #22 Lincoln (corner of Bradley)
    #60 Lincoln (corner of Pearl)
For coordination with tree planting schedule, consult:

This is report from the Lincoln-Bradley Neighborhood Association on the condition of our two streets:
Lincoln (two blocks from Trumbull to Pearl) has waist deep snow with a number of automobiles parked on the east side buried in the drifted snow. Sidewalks have been cleared by the residents.
Bradley (two blocks from Orange to Whitney) has one lane "top-plowed" to knee depth and is ready for normal plowing.
