This condition was reported quite some time ago and the issue was "closed" on this site by Public Works. Assigned a work order number of CSR # 20020992833. However absolutely no actual work of any kind has yet been performed. The sinkhole has continued to grow and several vehicles have recently become stuck - one this morning required a tow truck to be removed from the hole. Please come and fill this hole before somebody drowns in it.

More than a pothole - quickly becoming a small pond - large depression/sunken area in alley between Nottoway and Claremont 1600 block. Retains rainwater for weeks at a time and is big sloppy mud hole. Soon the garbage collection truck is going to get stuck in there....

The audio recording of bird distress calls at Social Services building runs 24 hours a day - even though starling season is over and is also only a probem at dusk anyway. It is quite unpleasant - a real public nuisance. The deterrent is worth it during the months when the birds are here in order to control the mess they leave behind. However they have now moved on south for the winter. Can't the equipment be turned off until needed again next Summer? That constant squawk really needn't be the soundtrack for downtown. VCU Hospital and others have all turned theirs off weeks ago.

There are a number of City park benches on the 1000 block of East Clay Street. All of them are in poor condition. However this one bench is completely falling apart and somebody is going to get hurt when they sit in it.
