    Cars go over 60 mph down Edgewood Ave, during school hours. God forbid, this could end in tragedy. Speed humps or other speed control measures are necessary here to prevent a child from being killed.

    There are plenty of police around the area, but they rarely seem to stop people for speeding.

    At 7:00 on Wednesday evening, April 3rd, three students from the Troup school were throwing glass from the driveway of the school out onto Beers Street, breaking bottles in the street, and VERY narrowly missing hitting a woman with a baby in a stroller walking south on Beers. This was reported to the school, and the principal is aware of the identities of all three students involved.

    This happened during a large evening activity of some kind at the school.

    There needs to be a police presence around this school when there are evening activities.

    I posted this issue back in December 2012, but it was archived, despite that nothing seems to have been done. It has been reported to LCI both directly and through seeclickfix.

    I'm not sure the status of this house (it was for sale, not sure who owns it now), but parts of the roof have fallen off into the neighbors yard, and there is a lot of trash dumped in the back yard.

    The 3rd floor residents moved out because of plumbing problems that they said leaked down into the unoccupied second floor, and the occupied first floor.

    On seeclickfix, LCI said that they were at the property in December and assigned a case number for inspection, but no progress seems to have been made. The property continues to literally fall apart.

    The front yard of this house frequently (and currently) has lots of garbage strewn around. There are often piles of garbage in the driveway as well, next to the garbage bins. This neglect and blight makes the block look trashy.

    The property is owned by Ziyad Holding Company, LLC.

    Impossible to walk on the sidewalk down Edgewood Ave because the owners/tenants of the blue house on the corner still haven't shoveled their sidewalk.

    20 large signs for a single bodega are negatively impacting the neighborhood. The sides of the building look like huge patchwork billboards. A bunch of the signs are even hung from trees and telephone poles. I don't know what the regulations about this are, but this seems egregious.

    It's nearly impossible to navigate a stroller along the sidewalk on the east side of Sherman Ave, between Edgewood and Maple.

    In some sections, the sidewalk is almost completely disintegrated.

    One of the trees on the street (not on the owner's property) has a very large dead limb hanging out over power lines. The city should take care of it before a storm comes and does it for them, knocking out power to the block in the process!

    The dumpster that Mandy Management has provided for the apartment building at the corner of Edgewood and Sherman is far too small for the number of units in the building. As a result, trash is often overflowing, and ends up littering the block.

    A larger dumpster (or a second dumpster, or more frequent emptying of the dumpster) needs to be provided.

    This is a Mandy Management property. There is TONS of garbage strewn around the ground in front of and around the sides of this house. It definitely has a negative impact on the area. Mandy Management needs to clean up their property.

    About two or three weeks ago at around 4:00 Saturday morning, and then again last night at around 11:45, there were gunshots from the parking lot behind 195 Sherman Ave. A number of individuals congregate there on Friday and Saturday nights, and there is considerable suspicious activity.
