Regular scheduled recycling collection missed us Thursday. Left at curb, as normal. In past, this was a regularly recurring problem. Of late, has been pretty reliable. Not sure what happened.

Regular recycling collection did not service us Thursday.

We're in collection zone 3B, which was to receive the second pass (final) between December 30 and January 4. On January 3, I spotted a crew working Chesapeake St. at Western Ave. As we routinely are missed on Western, I sought out the supervisor. I explained how we have difficulties every year getting our leaves collected and asked when we would see them this year. She said she didn't know, but would check. About an hour later, the vacuum truck was spotted coming down Western from Brandywine collecting the leaves. the further it went, the less effort to collect. By the time they approached our lots, large piles were being left behind. We'd not had a crew come to move from the tree box area to the street and I thought the vacuum operator was irritated. When I asked why so much was being left behind, he said a cleanup crew would be coming behind him to clean it up. To date, nobody has been back. I feel he clearly lied to me to get me off his back. The DPW collection map now shows our street as being completed. In the meantime, approximately 40% of the leaves raked to the appropriate area still sit. I really wish someone would explain why this street faces the same or similar struggle every year to get this task accomplished. DPW has a track record of missing trash and recycling collection on the same street. I am beginning to think we should be getting half off our property taxes each year considering the level of support provided.

Recycling still not collected 24 hours later. Pickup is on Thursday, but no one came. Trash was collected normally. Heard what sounded like recycling collection in a nearby alley this morning, but if that was the case, they skipped the curbside collections for those of us who don't live on the alley. We've been here for 25 years and this has not been a problem until the last year. Not sure what has happened, but the track record doesn't seem to be improving in the new year.

Different week, same recurring problem. When recycling collection occurs, it's normally completed by 9:00 give or take a bit. It's now after 2:00. Please try to remember the people of this neighborhood.

As of 2:00 PM, recycling still not collected. this is happening all too frequently. Who's responsible for the quality control of these collections?

As of 12:30, no recycling pickup has occurred. At least the trash crew refrained from dumping into their truck this week! Anyway, please send crew to pick up as this is near overflow.

I had sincerely hoped to make it through the annual leaf collection without having to complain, but seems as though it's just not meant to be. For some reason, we who reside on Western Ave NW are an afterthought. Two weeks ago I found a crew in front of my house raking the leaves consolidated in the tree boxes out into the street. Great! That means the vacuum truck is coming today...NOT. To this day, they've not been collected. Add to that all the snow and rain and you can imagine the sloppy mess. On top of that, the snow plows have come through (operated by the same workers responsible for leaf collection) and plowed them all down the street and also into the yards again. Every year I ask why we continue to be overlooked. I have yet to hear an answer nor have I ever seen anyone held responsible for not doing their job. If and when this gets collected, it's going to be a messy soup to deal with.

As of 2:00 pm, recycling has not been collected in our immediate neighborhood. Monday was a holiday, so probably just running late, but wanted to ensure someone is watching the situation.

Third week in a row that recycling has been either missed or very late collection. Weather was certainly no excuse today.

Was not collected last week and as of 12:30, still not collected this week. Not sure why this is suddenly occurring after 22 years at this address.

Annual leaf collection is again a bust for those of us who live on Western Ave NW. all the side streets have been collected, while our leaves are left to blow all over. this is a long-term problem. Seems to be a management problem. This is unbagged leaves, regardless of options checked below.

As of 3:00 pm, still no collection.

9/28 collection has not occurred yet. This is unusually late and I fear we've been missed. Can is at curb.
