  ALL of Wedgefield is in this shape...I think they have cut the grass out in Wedgefield once this summer...Weeds have now grown into Trees.

Pothole, Dodge & Merge at 70mph Closed

Dave Lyle Blvd & Interstate 77 Rock Hill, SC - Rock Hill

There are so many pot holes and worn away pavement on the north bound acceleration lane that it is extremely dangerous. I've seen near accidents as drivers attempt to merge onto I-77 while dodging pot holes many of which are side by side and cannot be avoided. Dodging potholes while attempting to accelerate and watch oncoming 70 MPH traffic in preparation to merge is a serious accident waiting to happen.

ttTraffic light timing Open

Celanese Rd And Riverchase Blvd. Rock Hill, SC 29732, USA - Rock Hill

The traffic lights at Riverchase Blvd, Riverview Rd, and 77south Celanese Rd, these three lights do not work together, during peak traffic it is a nightmare for commuters. I live off of Riverchase Blvd, it is hair pulling to try to leave or turn into Riverchase Blvd. The timing of the lights contributes to the congestion at these intersections. The growth at this location will increase this problem, once the Hospital is up and running this will make getting in and out of Riverchase Blvd. a royal pain. I have called Rock Hill about this problem and have not had a positive response. There have been numerous accidents due to drivers getting impatient trying to turn into Riverchase Blvd and or cross over Celanese Rd.

  There has been no action that I know of with the problem at these three intersections, and to make matters worse the Quick Trip will be opening soon, this gas station not only will handle cars but will handle trucks. Problem with this is that the intersection of Riverview Rd and Celanese Rd has not been upgraded to handle 18 wheelers turning onto Celanese Rd. So not only we will have to deal with traffic lights that don't work together and now the added traffic of 18 Wheelers.

  Spoke with Rock Hill, they said they had made some minor changes to the light sequence and they would lengthen the grid box on the roadway. I was also told that they have to follow SCDOT rules and it would be up to SCDOT to make any big changes to this intersection. As of this writing there was another accident at this intersection.

Yielding is not happening at this intersection Open

Dave Lyle Blvd & Interstate 77 Rock Hill, SC 29730, USA - Rock Hill

Drivers coming off the interstate south bound do not yield for drivers on Dave Lyle Blvd. The drivers on Dave Lyle try to merge over to get into Manchester Village. I have been rear-ended as I was yielding for the traffic as I was coming off the interstate.

Traffic light Open

1401-1459 Celanese Rd Rock Hill, SC 29732, USA - Rock Hill

This light for 7 years now has not had a left hand turn signal to turn onto Riverview Road. After almost being hit, I no longer take this turn and instead take a detour down MT. Gallant to beable to get to Stones Crossings Apts. There has been plenty of accidents at this intersection and nothing has been done about it. It is nearly impossible to make the left turn unless you pull up and wait for the yellow light and sometimes that does not work because of the on comng traffic does not slow, they even fly through the red light!

  I agree and after they (fixed) the lights and put brand new ones up, after this posting, they still didn't put a turn signal! Makes me think it takes someone to get killed to fix it, instead of alot of accidents! :(

Mud Slide Open

Highway 321 North Hickory, NC - US Congressional District SC5

Right after crossing the bridge into Caldwell County on the right hand side of the road there is a bank of red mud that moves into the roadway every time it rains. I have observed traffic swerving into the other lane in an attempt to avoid the mud. This occurs on a high traffic roadway that is already in bad shape due to the rain.

Hwy 321 North Hickory, North Carolina - US Congressional District SC5

Taking well over a year to widen less than a mile stretch of road to add a middle turning lane did nothing for the traffic congestion at the Cherry Rd. Mt. Gallant intersection.

Dangerus curve Open

United States - US Congressional District SC5

Sandra Lane in Indian Land . At the traffic light on 521 just over the state line , you turn right and there is a very sharp curve . There has been three wrecks on this curve in just a short time . Sandra Llane goes across 521 into Wal-Mart . The traffic has doubled and people will not follow the speed sign . So far no one has gotten hurt real bad , but time is ticking and some one will . If you can help us that would help us out greatly .

Mudslide Open

Highway 321 North Hickory, NC - US Congressional District SC5

Mudslide occurs each time it rains from large bank on the right after crossing the bridge over Lake Hickory. It is a dangerous traffic hazard. DOT puts a cone there but traffic swerves into the other lane to miss it. It needs to be resolved.

The traffic light at york st. and broad st. takes a long time to change for drivers on york st. Often times traffic backs up and drivers have to wait several long cycles to make it through the intersection. This is especially troublesome when Camden High school traffic is involved.

Dangerous entrance to I77 Open

Carowinds Blvd & Interstate 77 & U.S. 21 Fort Mill, SC 29715, USA - US Congressional District SC5

Entrance to N I-77 from Carowinds Blvd is extremely dangerous. Just as you are finishing the curve of the entrance ramp the potholes are so bad that it makes your car jump towards the on coming traffic lanes. Curves, potholes and 70 mph traffic is not very safe. ---Now there are huge pot holes in the middle of the merge lane causing you to not only dodge speeding cars; but dodging three foot long potholes.

Need Traffic Light Open

Intersection Of Hwy 213 & Broad River Rd Newberry, SC - Newberry County

Since the opening of the Shaw Plant in has been almost impossible to get to Broad River Rd when the plant workers are getting off or going to work. I work in Columbia and go through Peak to get to Broad River Rd in te afternoons.. There are two stop signs one at the Peak Rd and the ohter on Broad River so traffic is steady on Hwy 213... to get across the intersection is a twenty to thirty minute wait some times unless one of the workers is decent enough to slow up and let you cross.. This needs to be taken care , before there is a very serious accident there.

Speeding; too much through traffic Archived

Dupont Blvd. Lugoff, SC - Lugoff

More than 300 cars a day cut down Dupont Blvd. everyday. And, on top of that, they speed even though there is a speed limit sign up (30 mph). Several neighborhood pets have been hit and killed because of the excess traffic and speeding. My kids can't even take a walk because they are scared to leave the yard.

Exit 106 Bridge Open

State Road S-11-409 Blacksburg, SC 29702, USA - US Congressional District SC5

This bridge is AWFUL. There is one major truck stop at this area. As a result of this traffic along with the other traffic that travels this road (on/off I-85) there are "MAJOR" Potholes on the bridge. When it rains (or snows) and trafic goes over, it pops. All DOT is doing is patching the holes and it is a vicious cycle. Just this week they were there and paved each side of the bridge before you cross it BUT the holes are still there. This is a continuous ongoing problem that never gets fixed...just patched up!!

There is a huge hole and ripple in the inside lane that is very near the intersection with 13th Ave SW......traffic must swerve into another lane or hit the large hole full on.....when a car hits it full on, it is deep enough to damage the alignment.

  The old Central Park building has a light just south of the unoccupied building. I do not know if this is a street light or owned by the property where the Central Park was located. More lighting is needed in this area. Once you make the right turn off South 5th headed toward Walmart all the street lights are located on the North side of the street and it's very dark in the area once you've turned off South 5th. There has to be a way to get more lighting in this area. One light near the intersection is much brighter so maybe a short tern solution would be to replace the bulbs in the exciting street lights with stronger lights Either way this poor lite area is going to be the cause of a accident at the said location.
