Ballston Spa Middle And High School Ballston Spa, New York
The combined exit from Ballston Spa Middle School and High School is in dire need of a traffic light and traffic calming measures. I dropped off my son this morning for the first time and I cannot believe how bad the problem is. Harder to understand is why this has not been made a priority. Answers?

traffic light out consistently in the afternoon at this high traffic intersection. Extremely dangerous. Blinking red or blinking yellow driver is unsure what to do.

This intersection is absolutely frightening! Vehicles trying to turn left onto Route 23 west have very poor visibility. Plus vehicles coming down the hill on Route 23 are racing at approximately 70MPH and can't stop in time.
These 1930's-style on-ramps need to be redesigned to prevent senseless deaths from occurring here.

Why is there no sidewalk on Rankin Avenue at the corner of South Lake Avenue? The first home on Rankin removed the sidewalk, forcing people into the street on an intersection where drivers quickly turn off of South Lake. I have nearly been hit while walking with my family on numerous occasions. Why has the city allowed for the sidewalk to be ripped out and grass planted? Are we all permitted to rip the sidewalks up in front of our homes and extend our yards to the street?

Parking was already an issue at the Price Chopper Market Center location! It seems that Bonacio Construction (the owners of the building) thought that it would be a good idea to take some of the covered parking away from the market.
This has basically taken the convenience of shopping there away! We had a dinner party with five other couples that are not going to shop at this Price a Chopper anymore, and we were each sharing our conversations from our various local workplaces, and they all sounded very familiar!
I used to love shopping there before the limited parking went into effect, but will not continue to shop there if I have to be inconvenienced by the now inadequate parking!
I would hope that Mr. Bonacio would understand that if enough people stop shopping there, he will lose a major tenant!
I will be driving the extra 2 miles to Fresh Market, because they are now more convenient, and have plenty of parking!
I won't be back unless the parking situation in returned to its original state.

'The Local' bar patrons urinating on Beekman Street after closing time.
The bar closes around midnight, then the bar patrons leave and start urinating everywhere-on the sidewalk, behind trees, on the street itself.
Low-class and getting worse.

I leave near Forts Ferry and River Roads and work in Century Hill office park. I commute with my 3 year old grandchild who attends a day care center in the Capital Imaging building at 1001 Loudon Rd. To get to the day care, I take a left turn off Dunsbach Ferry Rd, crossing 5 lanes of traffic on Route 9 and then I take an immediate right into the parking lot, just north of the Lexus dealer. To get to my office in Century Hill from the day care parking lot is just as dangerous. My situation is the most difficult but even cars turning on and off Route 9 (who do not have to execute a quick turn immediately) also have difficulty. I have seen many near misses and there was an accident requiring an ambulance a few weeks ago. It is extremely difficult as the traffic on Rt 9 travels at a high rate of speed and the center medium is used continually for cars turning in both directions, often times drivers are checking traffic in one direction while cars are entering in the other direction. This is a state road and I am wondering if the state is considering putting a traffic light to avert future accidents. Thank you. This is a great service to our community.
1 Phaeton Lane Mechanicville, New York
The other night, I was headed southbound on U.S. Route 9 on my way towards Clifton Park. As someone unfamiliar with the area, I was driving fairly slowly, but was maintaining a safe speed.
It was late at night and the roundabout was only halfway lit up. It was hard to navigate around this roundabout without the whole thing being illuminated.
As I continued on, I could not see which way to continue southbound on Route 9, and next thing I knew, I was on the gravel road of Phaeton Drive with my brakes locked up and gravel flying everywhere!
I literally could not see where I was driving!
There are no streetlamps or sawhorses or anything whatsoever to indicate that Phateton Drive is an uncompleted roadway with hazardous travel conditions!
Some kind of streetlamps or orange barrels or orange traffic-cones need to be installed here to warn drivers that Phaeton Drive is not yet completed!
