There are many children on Rollingwood Ln SE in 30316. Many vehicles speed on this street. We need speed humps installed ASAP. We are very concerned about children being harmed. Mary Lou Ln SE nearby had speed humps installed and there is a noticeable difference in the traffic patterns on that street. Please help.
1480 Monroe Drive Northeast Atlanta, Georgia
The HAWK pedestrian signal added to this location confuses most drivers, who have no idea what to do when the lights change from solid red (stop) to alternate flashing red (which means drivers can proceed if no pedestrians are in crosswalk). Most drivers don't know they can proceed on flashing red (if there are no pedestrians in the crosswalk), so traffic remains blocked unnecessarily until the signal goes dark.
How about posting the rules so people know what to do? Or at least a sign that says "Stop on flashing red, if no pedestrian, then proceed" or similar?
2910 Clairmont Rd Brookhaven, GA
Turning into the Avana Uptown Apartments (formerly Uptown Lofts at Brookhaven) is an absolute nightmare. The lack of a left turn arrow leaves residents of the complex fighting with I'll-tempered traffic jammers, who constantly refuse to yield to us, so that we can end our own commute.
Trying to turn either takes 3-4 light changes per car, leaves us at the mercy of limited vision when trying to cross the 3 lanes of traffic, or results in people illegally turning left on red lights. All 3 scenarios can be could be easily avoided with a yielding traffic arrow. There have been previous petitions started with our last management group, with no resolution. I'm not sure if such requests made it those in place of making such decisions, but on behalf of us all who live here & pay to do so, please help keep us safe and install a new traffic light.
1061 Briarcliff Road Northeast Atlanta, Georgia
The traffic lights at two very close intersections are going off unnecessarily and causing back-ups on Briarcliff. The light at Briarcliff and the By Way, and the light at light at Briarcliff and Stillwood, are going off too often and not in sequence so that traffic stops at one light (often without the presence of cross-traffic) only to stop again moments later 100 feet ahead. It's been going on for a while and traffic flow is very impeded. Further, some people have taken to running one or both lights since they seem useless - it is becoming a hazard. Please address the issue as soon as possible. Thank you.
2-26 5th Street Northeast Atlanta, Georgia
There is a manhole cover right in the bike lane on the corner of 5th Street and W. Peachtree (on W. Peachtree). Cyclists turning from 5th onto W. Peachtree have to either go around the sunken cover, which puts them in to a traffic lane of high speed vehicles (including GRTA buses) or go on the inside, where the bike may strike the curb, causing a crash. If the cyclists rides over the sunken cover he/she may also crash. Please raise the manhole cover to the surface level of the road/bike lane. Thanks.
2072 Dekalb Ave Ne Atlanta, Georgia
The light at the intersection of DeKalb Avenue and Rocky Ford/DeKalb Place NE is flashing this morning 3/2/15. This usually happens a minimum of every 1-2 weeks; impacting the commute of many citizens and also creating an unsafe situation. It is hard to understand how one specific light could malfunction so frequently.

In the traffic light at the intersection of Northside Dr NW and 10th Street, add a left turn signal. Numerous accidents happen everyday. Very scary to negotiate this junction.
Intersection Of Briarcliff And Clifton Roads Dekalb County, Georgia
They have recently change the length of time the green light traffic signal from Clifton Road turning onto Briarcliff Road runs. The green light for Clifton onto Briarcliff is too short for the amount of traffic using this intersection. Only 3-4 cars get through causing a large backup.
4 VotesFix it! Voted!3901 Campbellton Road S.W., Atlanta, GA
Everyone knows the S.W. section of Atlanta is often forgotten. However, there is a dire need for a traffic light and crosswalk at Campbellton Road at the entrance of the Cascade Glen Apartments before a driver or pedestrian gets killed. This location needs a crosswalk and light for several combined reasons.
First, this is a large complex that houses a large group of citizens who rely on MARTA to get to and from. School buses also enter the complex to pick up students from several nearby schools. There is also a MARTA stop just outside the entrance on both sides of the street, but no crosswalk for pedestrians to get across to the East bound buses. Pedestrians find themselves caught in the motorist turn lanes trying to get across to the other side. More importantly, there is a blind curve that obstructs the vision of people driving out of the complex and the apartment marquis also blocks the vision of drivers trying to enter Campbellton Road. Once you have pulled out onto Campbellton Road, it's like playing Russian Roulette with the oncoming traffic you can't see until it's right up on you. Moreover, speeding cars coming around this blind spot and on the opposite side of the street have led Atlanta police officers to frequently set up speed traps right here at the trouble area, instead of putting up a stop light to control the flow of traffic.
What is needed is a crosswalk and traffic light on Campbellton Road and facing the traffic coming out of the complex to control the flow of traffic just West of Fairburn Rd. and allowing for the complex's traffic to enter the roadway with the threat of being struck with traffic coming around this blind spot. It's a "no-brainer" once you see the situation. And this would allow citizens to cross safely to the bus stop on the Eastbound side and allow drivers a safer way of getting onto Campbellton Road. If a crosswalk and light is installed, it should be noted that the Westbound MARTA bus stop should be moved back to the complex's entrance instead of the way it is now situated in between the complex's entrance opening and the exit opening. Please help before you end up coming out here to cover a tragedy!
Brannen Road Southeast / Eastbound I-20 Exit Ramp To Gresham Road Gresham Park, Georgia
The traffic light timing at the Eastbound I-20 Gresham Road exit has been malfunctioning lately. During peak, as well as non-peak hours of the day and night, the light will turn green but quickly change to red within 5 seconds causing a back-up at the exit ramp, specially for vehicles turning left onto Gresham Road. The light for the Gresham Road traffic however, will stay green and cycle green on both directions several times for about 3-5 minutes..again, this while the exit ramp light will only stay green for less than 10 seconds allowing only 3-5 cars at a time.
