With all of the pedestrian traffic moving across Church into Audobon arts area, we really really need a pedestrian cross walk from curb at Gourmet Heaven to curb at Koffee?
There are TONS of kids and families who cross this intersection...or try to....every single day. Crazy drivers on church do not yield.
PLEASE put in a pedestrian cross walk.
I know I know, most drivers won't yield, but at least we will have tried.
Please vote this up. ty

no one lives in these 2 houses, the grass is three feet tall and makes the street look horrible, not sure what hte issue is with the owners or why the grass isnt being mowed,, its an eyesore, plus it attracts mice/rats etc,,

The City of New Haven can make a ton of money just by ticketing owners who let their dogs off-leash in Edgerton Park / Brewster Estate.
I am sick of these entitled owners who think it is perfectly okay to let their precious pooches run amok in the park.
Just this past Sunday, a man had a dog running loose with the leash dangling on the ground. Then, a second dog came running around the corner, also with a leash dragging on the ground. I told the man there were leash laws, and he had the nerve to say "they're on leashes," and I replied "but your hand needs to be on the other end."
These are RICH LOCAL PEOPLE who are treating the park like their own private backyard. They have money for leashes & pooper scoopers (I have never seen any dog owner with a scooper or bag), and I'm sure they have cars to take their dogs to a dog park if they want their dogs to roam.
PLEASE enforce the leash law!!!!!

We are on day 9 . . . this garbage bag has been in the park for NINE DAYS!!!! From my understanding the Parks Department and Aldermen have been contacted about this issue! Guess what . . . absolutely NOTHING has been done about this!!!! This park continues to be trashed and it seems that the city and parks department could care less! This is now becoming a weekly problem. I have seen many requested over the last month pleading that this park be taken care of. The worst part is that the parks department keeps equipment in the shed on the corner of Hard and Stone Street and they pass this park more than once a day . . . they see the trash and disregard it. At this point I am an extremely frustrated tax paying neighbor that uses this park often with my family. I and many others in the neighborhood do our part and clean up as much as we can on a daily basis (this includes the near by streets) . . . but when these extreme situations occur (including the issue that the park's only trash can is rarely emptied) the Parks Department really needs to be involved. This is becoming a Public Health issue!!!!!!! If the city continues to ignore this park and the trashing problem - I would be more than happy to begin voicing concerns to local the local newspapers and news stations.

NHPD issues warnings about muggings around Church Street South of pedestrians heading from train station to downtown. The response, according the New Haven Register, is to place ugly, prominent "No Trespassing" signs around the complex. How about some more positive pedestrian wayfinding signs, maps and walking or bicycling ambassadors sending people down Union Ave and State Street (or whatever the preferred route might be)? How about some better lighting on the preferred route, some plantings, etc? City of New Haven, New Haven Parking Authority, Yale University?

There are nine bus stops on Concord. There are never more than 2 people riding the bus all week except on weekends. The buses are constantly speeding, crossing over the yellow line. The bus needs to move off of Concord which has high pedestrian traffic and a much more dense population than both streets which run parallel. They need to move to Townsend where they will have to drive the speed limit and there are less residents to almost kill. Why are my tax dollars going to run a bus that is very rarely used except on weekends? My neighbors and I have been dealing with CT Transit and they are simply not making the safety changes. Can someone come sit on my porch with me? You will see what I mean. Seriously. Someone is going to get hurt.

The local thugs have knocked over two trash cans along the Seawall, again. One is between Florence and Parker and the other is down by Parker. The first one is located where one of the lights is out. This light REALLY needs to be fixed. This bench is the thugs' favorite spot because it is dark, and they are hidden from view as the police drive buy. FYI the light problem was reported in February.
