Frear Park Rd Troy, NY 12182, USA - Frear Park
Sidewalks are desperately needed along Frear Park road. The lack of sidewalks in this area make this park unfriendly to pedestrians. I run through the park on a regular basis and can't count the number of times I have almost been hit. Speed control measures such as speed bumps are also needed to slow the traffic down that uses this road like a race course.
302 Hoosick St Troy, NY 12180, USA - Frear Park
Route 7 (Hoosick Street) from the bottom of Alternate Rte. 7 to the intersection of South/North Lake Avenues is horrendous! Bump after bump and pothole after pothole. I drive this route everyday to get to I-87N, and I'm surprised my car is still in one piece.
6th Ave. & Hoosick St. - Troy
Drivers coming south on 6th Ave.at Hoosick St. disobey the yellow & then Red light taking the left onto Hoosick. They line up bumper to bumper forming a Gridlock coming from 6th onto Hoosick so they don't have to wait for another light, and prevent anyone from traveling North on 6th Ave.
49 2nd St Troy, NY 12180, USA - Troy
2nd Street looks wonderful after the repaving this summer - but now there is a utility cut in the street in front of the RPI frat house - it's like a sunken speed bump - I'm all for traffic calming, but this is not the way to do it
Hoosick Street Troy, NY - Frear Park
Hoosick street needs to have its cross walks repainted and make sure all the buttons work. I know the buttons haven't worked at either side of the big lots plaza for months.
Also, the lane diver lines are so worn away that drivers cannot even see them anymore. Tourists drive up and down hoosick in the middle of the lanes because they think it's a one lane road.
I see the city finally fixed some of those dangerously sunken manhole covers on hoosick near the sidewalks. But, when will they fix the rest? Why is hoosick always overlooked like this?
In other rants...
I drove down campbell ave the other day and couldn't believe what a mess that still is. I hope the city decides to fix it?
What's the deal with rte 2 over by the cookie factory? They've been "working" (I use that term loosely) over there forever! What a mess!
I'd like to know why 87 N & South have mini speedbumps roughly every 30 feet? Anyone that drives that highway knows what I mean. These speed bumps are dangerous. Especially, on a motorcycle. What can be done to fix them? And when?
Also, what's the deal with paving just the sides of the road on Plank road/rte 142 in Brunswick? They have done this in the past where they pave about 8 feet of each side of the road but leave the center unpaved. It looks horrible and half finished. How much more effort and money would it take to paved the whole darned road folks? The edges where the old and new pavements meet is dangerous for motorcyclists.
161-167 Sherman Ave Troy, NY 12180, USA - Troy
always complaining about speeding when it is not that much of a problem, they have added cops, empty cop cars, stop signs, speed trap signs, lowered speed limits to 20mph which is ridiculous, and now speed bumps. These residents need to realize campbells ave is closed and when it's over so will the traffic be over with. Residents in this area just want to whine about something.

Fane, Gallivan, troy sand and gravel commercial trucks all use their jake brakes when they drive down this hill numerous times every day of the week. Mot of these trucks are emitting way over the amount of decibles allowed by law but they get away with it because the police don't "police".
Please TROY POLICE, come to oakwood ave between middleburgh ave and hoosick street and give tickets to these trucking companies that are blatantly breaking the law and disrupting the neighborhood.
Also people speed way over the 30MPH limit on this road because there are no speedlimit signs anywhere. See video below. That is a regular occurrence on oakwood ave.
2-8 Sherman Ave Troy, NY 12180, USA - Troy
because deadbeats are sooooo delayed by the speed bumps on Sherman Avenue Yr average deadbeat will compensate for that by darting around the corner because there's only a flashing light that doesn't mean be careful or slow down it means go faster right ? Keep Darting, America ! Keep Calm - Keep Darting !

The road surface condition at the intersection at Pawling ave, rte 2 and rte 66 in Troy is very dangerous and difficult to navigate (especially on a motorcycle or scooter!). There are huge pot hole, bumps, sunken drain covers and surface irregularities throughout the entire intersection. Troy Should step up and repave this entire intersection before someone gets hurt in an accident caused by the neglected road.
Lots of tax paying citizens travel through this area daily. I'm kind of surprised no one has mentioned this before.
Donegal Ave - Troy
Donegal Avenue is a family neighborhood with a lot of people walking with their kids and pets. Cars speed though this neighborhood in excess of the 30mph signs. I've almost been hit several times coming out of my driveway. I have never seen any speed traps or even one of those radar sign alerting drivers to their speed! I have reported this to the city with no response. I would LOVE to see speed bumps put in this neighborhood, or at least evidence of some kind of police oversight!!

Old Mill Street (Behind Kenndeys Tavern) - Troy
Old Mill Street (behind kennedys tavern) needs to be paved its a MAJOR saftey issue and cars who park on this road need to park closer to the side and not in the middle its just plain rude : cops need to start giving tickets out for the idiots who park like that)
Northern Drive Troy, NY 12182 - Troy
Potholes in road.
Was recently patched with asphalt, but bumps need to be packed more tightly and leveled out, dumping it in the hole and patting it with a shovel doesn't help.
Traffic entering the turn could lose traction and skid into ditch.

When you're pulling out of the Price Chopper on 2nd avenue to turn right, there's a deep pothole, about 6" deep. You can't really see it with all the flooding from the melting snow, and it almost took off my front bumper.
