Idiot neighbors cut fallen tree, resting against power lines Archived

79-317 Red Bird Dr Stratford, CT - Stratford

A tree fell last night. There was a small fire Stratford Fire Department was able to put out. I believe power was cut intentionally b/c of the tree. Multiple neighbors have called UI to report. Idiot neighbors just busted out chainsaws and cut the tree at the base just enough to get their cars around but left the rest of the tree resting even more heavily on power lines. Help would be appreciated before all the lines snap.

Street appearance improvement Open

Upper W Broad St Stratford, CT 06615, USA - Stratford

This particular spot used to have three dogwood trees and was well maintained. Two of the trees have died and nothing has been replaced. Also, all of West Broad Street above the I-95 overpass have dead or dying trees. A lot of attention has been spent on lower West Broad but upper west broad has been ignored since the early 1960's when flowering cherry trees were planted uniformly on the street. There are a few remainingand they are slowly dying.

  so glad that someone has mentioned this! This is one of the gateway streets of stratford. Improving this street can only positively affect not only the neighborhood by the feeling of this important voting district! Too long has it been neglected.

  This could be one of the prettiest streets in town. I see they are repairing the sidewalks but replacing trees would do so much more without having to spend too much money.

horrible sidewalk Open

26-106 Long Bow Rd Stratford, CT 06614, USA - Stratford

Someone can easily get hurt on this sidewalk. Big tree with roots extending well underneath force sidewalk to have a dangerous 3' tall gap. BTW, this is not the only one I've spotted but one of the more significant gaps I've seen in the cities sidewalks.
