Trash from homeless camp on side of road, and from commercial property

There is a new homeless camp in the trashed area ignored by the City of Raleigh. There are mattresses, blankets, pillows, multiple empty King Cobra bottles. The owner of this property needs to be fined and held accountable for what is taking place on their land.
This trashed area was most recently reported over 3 weeks ago and acknowledged by the city 20 days ago. This is not the first time this issue has been brought to the city's attention. As of today there have been no updates regarding this area.
This issue is a danger to all the residents living in Renaissance Park, and should have been addressed the first time it was reported. If you let an area remain trashed eventually homeless people will move in, since the area looks ignored. It is only a matter of time until a crime is committed as a result of this. Please take action now.

There are several homeless male and females who are just sitting at bus stop no riding the bus.

There is another homeless camp developing in this area. Tents have been spotted from the road.

The lot in front of our business park is full of tall grass and weeds. It is difficult to see our building from the street. There are also wild animals and homeless people that wander around. It would be safer if the lot was cleared.

Where the asphalt meets bridges along I-40 between S. Saunders and the I-440 / I-40 split, the asphalt is sometimes raised to create serious bumps and dips. This creates a hazard to motorcycle riders as this can cause the front tire to leave the pavement or cause the motorcycle to become unstable. Slowing down before the bridge to less the bump/impact causes traffic to pile up behind the motorcyclist, creating its own hazards due to the high speed of traffic in that area. The problem exists on both sides of I-40. Once, I hit a bump with such force it caused my handlebars to become loose, pulling my mirrors out of alignment. The pavement as it merges with the bridge surface should be smoothed out to make a safer transition from asphalt to concrete. I recently moved to a home south of Raleigh from Chapel Hill and now must commute twice daily (in good weather) to RTP this way.

This issue was reported last week. It was resolved in a timely manner by the city. But with that being said, it actually has gotten worse since last week. There is a ton of trash spread out from the entrance to the shopping center by Taco Bell all the way up to the entrance of Ren Park. The trash extends into the trees along the road. There might be some bigger issues that are causing this area to constantly be dirty. There was a time when homeless lived in those woods. I have not seen any recently though. Also on the other side of the street, there are soccer games played on the weekend behind the International Foods. These might be contributing factors but I do not know that for sure. I appreciate the timely manner in which this issue was resolved before. I hope that there is a way to keep this area clean as I know that there are many others in Ren Park who have mentioned this issue.
