Open Tree Pit Acknowledged

Tree Pit has been empty for years. Can a tree be put here to replace the weeds?

  The issue was closed, but there is no mention of a tree being planted. If a tree can be put there or not would be something that might be worth mentioning. Simply closing the issue resolves nothing.
