Hwy. 116 And Occidental Rd. Sebastopol, California
Changed traffic signal and the traffic back-up on 116 and Occidental is horrific. Can't turn into Andy's - yep - that far back. Ridiculous - should have left it well enough alone or just changed it for commute hours. Went through at 10:00 a.m. today - back-up was like it was during the change over - dumb. Change it back!!!

The county needs to install 25 MPH traffic signs along DuPont Rd. Sebastopol, CA. Pedestrians and wildlife are frequently subject to cars and trucks driving at excessive speed.

The only pedestrian overpass that exists in Petaluma, spanning US 101 near the interchange of E. Washington St, links the neighborhood on the north side with the rest of the city. Now with the new stores across the freeway, the catwalk is much more useful than ever before. Unfortunately, it's become a hazard at daytime, and a prowler's paradise at night.
I use this bridge to go to work at Target, and I can't stress enough its appalling condition. It is covered in graffiti (some potentially gang-related) and is littered with garbage, beer bottles and broken glass. These are obvious signs of loiterers taking their pleasure up here in the cover of darkness. Also, the overhead lights are not working, some of them shattered; they should be replaced with dimmable LED to make the catwalk safer at night. Even more perilous, the chain-link barrier encasing the bridge has holes at places, so someone can toss objects at the traffic below.
I know that the catwalk is not city property, so I hope this report is relayed to Caltrans. Should the bridge be improved, not only will it help me, but also the residents who now rely on this crucial freeway crossing.
North And Benton Streets
With such heavy traffic, along with two elementary schools and SR Middle School nearby, there needs to be a crosswalk here. Could also be part of an excellent east-west bicycle blvd, as there is already a crosswalk at Benton and Mendocino and then a 4-way stop at Humboldt and Benton.
209 Howard St Petaluma, CA 94952, USA
The traffic signal on the northwest corner of Washington/Bodega and Howard Streets is rotated so that cars heading north on Howard can see the signals intended for drivers westbound on Washington. Mildly confusing to those of us who know the problem, could be fatally confusing to a newcomer or a drunk driver.
Thanks! Thanked!Millbrae Ave. At Stony Point Rd.
Trying to turn left from either side of Millbrae Ave. is so dangerous that I am surprised more people haven't died there. It is a very busy intersection, the lights at Todd (north) and Expressway (south) are timed such that there are very few breaks in traffic, making it even harder to turn. Adding in the fact that people turning right try to "jump ahead" rather than taking their turn, I'm amazed anyone ever has the chance to turn left. What is the required number of deaths at an intersection before a light is installed? Obviously, despite the number of accidents and near accidents I have seen, that death toll has not been reached.
1431-1439 Fulton Road Santa Rosa, California
Piner HIgh School students that are getting out of school are walking into traffic on Fulton Road to get to the Youth Community Park. Fulton Road is a busy street and a mass of kids crossing the street is dangerous for both students and drivers. Especially since these kids have no regard of looking where they are walking. There needs to be a crosswalk so the students can SAFELY walk across the street.
Caulfield Lane Petaluma, California
I've been watching confused motorists drive up Caulfield Lane and back after encountering the dead-end by the creek. A "No Outlet" sign once existed but was removed by one of my neighbors who claimed it violated his property. The sign's absence opened the way to undeserved traffic, which can be stopped just by installing a new sign on the mast of a nearby streetlight to avoid angering my neighbor again.
