Very deep pothole, keeps recurring Closed

New Highway & Parkway Drive South commack, ny - Hauppauge

Right after the stop sign at new highway & parkway drive south there is a recurring pothole, heading eastbound. It is so deep you cannot see the bottom. It gets filled then comes right back.

This road need to be repaved. The pothole in question has orange paint around it. I seen a woman trip on it and almost got hit by a truck.

  Henry Street in Commack is privatly owned and is not under the Town of Smithtowns jurisdiction. This road is maintained by the management company that ownes Lowes. I believe their phone number is 366-658-4156 and the contact person is Wade Lautenberg.

  I have also hit a pothole on Henry St in Commack which blew out my rear right side tire. After calling the town of Smithtown, they informed me that this indeed was a private road and had referred me to PJ Venture, the real estate company that owns the Costco/Guitar Center/Target lot on Henry St. After leaving a message for someone at PJ Venture, they returned my call and claimed that since the pothole is on the west side of Crooked Hill Road, the responsibility falls under the Commack Cineplex management, which is no longer in business. I've since tried calling Lowe's corporate offices, (whom has purchased the property and assuming the portion of Henry St.) and I'm currently awaiting a returned phone call.

  Does anyone know if the town has the authority (a law on the books) to fix the problem and go after the owner (with a bill/lein)?
  I've heard of people not cutting their lawns and towns cutting it for them and sending them a bill (something like $300).

This is a fairly deep pothole, situated west bound on Gilbert and intersection of Terry road at the stop sign. Please fix. If a car is in the other lane, this is almost unavoidable.

Moriches Road Head of Harbor, NY - Head of the Harbor

Location is Moriches Rd. just into the
village of Head of Harbor.
There are potholes and now ruts forming.
There is continuing deterioration of the road.
The village continues to neglect road upkeep
and can expect small courts claims from drivers blowing
out expensive wheels and tires on a regular basis.
This also risks a serious accident as drivers can lose control
and hit oncoming traffic.

the northbound side is getting rutted from multiple potholes. this was the site of recent repairs also.
one must veer into the opposing lane to avoid them.

This is the closest I can come to the approximate address, but it is near the section of road heading South on Commack road just before the park on the bend. I hit it at night and caused such a loud bang it scared the heck out of me...I was not expecting it. This one is a DOOSEY! Please fix asap.

This pothole is on the entrance ramp. To avoid it, while trying to merge into traffic, people are either hitting the curb on the right, or moving into the traffic lane before they get up to speed.
