By my count the fifth sign collision has occurred at the pedestrian (Ironwood Greenway and N. Hill Drive). That's right. One Raleigh Park's pylon and four Pedestrian Crosswalk Yield sign had been destroyed or damaged. The most recent sign which Raleigh replaced in early July is now laying on the grass next to the street. It looks like a "clean" shearing in the crosswalk so there is no hazard in the roadway.
I will take pictures for you in the AM.
It truly may be time to address a traffic calming strategy were it is really needed.

Drivers consistently run through this red light. I am with a group of mother's who work out with our kids in strollers at North Hills. 3 days a week we use this crosswalk and are almost plowed down every time. It is quite scary! The city could make a lot of revenue with a red light camera here!

Why can't there be a crosswalk, with a signal, crossing Wake Forest Road, between the BP station and Costco? Why must people waiting for the bus along both sides of Wake Forest
cross all of the other sides of the intersection, before they get to the bus stop in front of McDonalds (if crossing from Costco)?
It's dangerous for a walker already...let's try to make it easier for them. They are jaywalking already. Paint the crosswalk and install crosswalk signs.

I have seen two people at different times hit by a car here. I have seen 5 people cross the street here...and more people many other times. The City needs to put in the crosswalk here. I requested this a year or more ago. Now they are paving six forks at wake forest road. A great time to put in the crosswalk.

I pass this intersection every morning on my way to work and it's only a matter of time before someone is really hurt. Pedestrians seem to completely ignore the crosswalks and routinely cross between cars within 30-50 feet of the actual crosswalks. This is a really busy intersection, especially at rush hour. This morning alone, I saw 6 different people cross in between cars when they could have easily used the crosswalks. One person actually walked right in front of my car while I was waiting to turn - there were at least 7 cars in front of me. I know we can't control what people are going to do, but I worry that someone will be hurt or killed at this intersection. There has to be something we can do.
