200-248 West St Pottstown, PA - Pottstown

This section of West St is horrible. The alley in the 500 block between N Hanover and Spruce Sts is just as bad. Fix these before the ruts cause an accident!

sink hole in alley Open

609 North Hanover Street Pottstown, PA - Pottstown

There is a sink hole in the alley between 609 N Hanover St & Willow St, caused by the broken drainage pipe that runs under the alley.....concerned for the trash trucks driving over it and causing much more damage.

Opticoms NEEDED Open

State Highway 100 Pottstown, PA 19464, USA - Pottstown

Numerous times at rush hour , I have observed emergency vehicles attempting to proceed through these intersections only to be stopped dead because the vehicles have no where to go when stopped at the traffic lights. How about a few less traffic cameras at the intersections and more Opticoms to change the signals so that emergency vehicles can proceed through with less impedance. Note how well they work at Upland square and any other intersection with them installed. You may not think much of it now ,but see how your tune changes when you are a patient in the back of an Ambulance , or a Policeman is responding to your emergency , or you need Fire services.

Skateboarders/bicycles Open

300 Block Of North Charlotte Street Pottstown, Pa - Pottstown

We have skateboarders going the wrong way on North Charlotte St. and they are in the way of the cars. They do not move out of the way and are very rude. It's usually two or more teenagers at a time. Sometimes us drivers have to stop so we don't hit them. If I understand the laws of the road, I don't have to share it with skateboarders. As for the bicycles, they are flying down the sidewalks and almost run us over as we come out of our homes or cars. These are teenagers and adults! I thought there was a law that bicycles were not allowed on the sidewalks. When I walk my dog they almost run her over because she is small. We need these people/parents to be fined for not following the laws of the town.

Obstructed View At Stop Sign Open

58 W 8th St Pottstown, PA - Pottstown

When you get to the stop sign at 8th and State Street your view is obstructed by high grass, untrimmed bushes and trees on the left. You have to creep up to see on coming traffic to the left.

A speed trap is needed on the 1200 block of N. Evans St. to catch all the speeders trying to cut the light at Charlotte and Mervine St.

Bikers without bells Open

Riverfront Park College Drive, Pottstown, PA - Pottstown

Bikers ride along the walking path and do not let you know they are approaching from behind. They should have bells or horns to announce their coming and going. Lots of folks walk their dogs and children there. It's dangerous for all pedestrians! Can the borough require bells or horns on bikes?

  Are the pedestrians telling the bikers they're there? No pun intended, but this is a two-way street. Dogs, kids and people in general are dangerous to cyclists, too. If the path is meant to be shared, then it has to work both ways. Unless you're asking that anyone on that path wear a bell or horn, then you're being unfair. There are irresponsible people in general. It's not the cyclist. And believe me, a pedestrian stepping taking down a cyclist can do a lot more financial damage that you'd imagine. I'm not downplaying the physical damage that can happen both ways.
