Issues: street signal

When you're leaving the main BJs parking lot and entering Universal drive...there's a Stop sign on the right. Since this intersection is controlled by stop light, I can't think of a reason there's a stop sign there. Is it supposed to take precedence under certain situations? I suspect its left over from pre stop-light days but no one ever removed it. North Haven should remove it and use it elsewhere where its needed.

Traffic traveling south on hartford tpke turning left onto Dixwell gets backed up at the light. The timing of the light at this intersection and the light controlling access to highway ramp are not in sync and you find yourself sitting on hartford tpke for two lights many mornings or during rush hours.....

New traffic lights on Whitney Ave. are backing up traffic on it unnecessarily. The one at Glendowner Rd./Ridgewood Ave. is the worst, those at Thornton St. and Hawthorne Ave. almost as bad. They seel to be on fixed cycles, staying on green for the side streets when there is no traffic on them for much longer than needed. The old signals worked much better as they adapted to the traffic flow. I hope somebody in charge can report that this problem will be fixed as soon as possible. We may need traffic calming on Whitney but this is not the way to do it.
