This is obviously someone who wants to break the law and speed, and doesn't like not knowing when there's a city officer with radar, because Troopers are more scarce and easier to predict.
Just because you're on the interstate doesn't mean you can't be stopped by a local agency; you're still within the city limits and under city jurisdiction, just as state police can come into the city and catch you speeding.
More officers on the interstate makes for a safer city and a safer highway. I applaud city officers, and city deputy sheriffs, patrolling the interstate and getting criminals off the street. We can't pick and choose where we will enforce the law.

I've not seen the officer actually ON 664 (which is supposed to be State Police jurisdiction) but have seen one repeatedly camped out near the dead end of Terminal Ave passed 21st Street. He/she can't possibly be running radar from there and with all the demo they've done out there, there isn't much to see from that vantage point. Maybe they are working on paperwork. I'll give them that possibility. But if you aren't going to be sitting at a desk to do it, at least change things up a little bit so you can be a visual deterrent in areas that are actually populated.

This was opened 4 months ago. I have not seen an officer on I-664 so why is this still open. When conditions change remember to close things that you open.

This issue has been reported to the police for further investigation... When you see the problem happening call the police dept at 247-2500 give a full description of persons and vehicles involved instead of posting on a website that is only checked periodically by city officials

People are beginning to use this site for other purposes than what it was originally intended for, now the cities that "watch" this site have to sift through junk b/f they get to an actual problem they need to stay off of it or get rid of it.

If the neighborhoods are getting bad and you know for fact that these people are drug dealers,users and street walkers then here is a little advice. first make sure that u are right about all the above,second, once you have proof that they are dealing then notify the proper authorities, your name and information will be held confidential. Also you can try putting together a neighborhood watch program to report suspicious activity in your neighborhood local law enforcement will assist you in safety and security matters.
