Issues: road safety

A pedestrian crossing is needed for crossing Wake Forest Road at Chestnut Street. There are lots of people who need to cross Wake Forest here - families walking to Conn Elementary, pedestrians walking to the bus stop, the post office letter carrier. There is a lot of traffic on Wake Forest, and I have seen people crossing at this spot in dangerous situations at all times of the day. It is just a matter of time before someone gets hit by a speeding car.
I'd like for the city to add a button-activated crosswalk with a stoplight at the Wake Forest/Chestnut intersection.

The 1100 block of Mordecai is full of potholes. Cars have to swerve from side to side of the road to avoid the holes, which leads to dangerous driving situations.

Cars FLY at high speeds down the curve of Blount from Delway/Mordecai.
People often use crosswalks along East Franklin to get from one side to another. (There's a bus stop here too.)
It is quite dangerous the way the cars are speeding down here.
1.- The crosswalk paint is faint and barely noticeable. Needs improvement.
2.- There needs to be signs in advance to warn cars to slow down, that a pedestrian crossing is ahead.
(Ideally, the police would do some speed checks here regularly too.)
