Seems like the majority of bikers are not obeying the traffic laws through out the city. You see many bikers not sop at red lights, stop signs, ride on the sidewalk when there is a line of traffic only to pass the vehicles and get back in the street. They even pass on right or the left when you re trying to turn instead of staying behind the vehicle. You wil see some bikers ride on the right of he street and some on the left of the street. I think we need more enforcment for those who break the law. At any corner a police officer could give lots of tickets to bikers.

Numerous Syringes are found between houses and on sidewalk. It is believed that Intravenous drug use occurs in this area. This is not only a Quality of Life issue but a Health and Safety issue. Requesting additional Police Patrols, as this area is just across the street from a School.

Trash pick up today. All trash was picked up except one bag. It was ripped open (seemingly by human). I did not receive a ticket.

Plate # TX 43928 @ 4:15AM, Tuesday January 1st, 2013. The driver had the green light but did not yield to the biker and skateboarder, instead he seemed to speed up to hit them. He hit them on with the right front end of his vehicle and did not pullover to see if they were ok. Tried to check if the two were oky and concerned that their bodies hadn't yet gone into shock, they "walked it off." Felt the need to report it anyway.

12:30 am, 8/22: I walked my bicycle of the sidewalk into the right side of Walnut street and 40th (going West), and started riding (where the bike lane formerly existed). A Septa bus was stopped at the stoplight on Walnut. As I started riding, the Septa bus started honking repeatedly. The light presumably turned green, and the bus accelerated rapidly, drove up beside me, and then slowed down to my speed. The driver was looking at me and saying something, but I couldn't hear through the bus door. I ignored him, and he drove away. I consider this harassment and possibly rage.

Cars are speeding through the block at speeds between 40 and 50 mph! This is a small residential block that dend ends into Nort York st. If something is not not done someone is going to be hurt or killed!

The new traffic signals on the South Street Bridge were designed to help bicycle traffic, but I think they're actually hurting. The signals for South Street traffic go as follows.
(1) Left turns (from both E and W directions) go
(2) Traffic going straight goes next, during which bicycles and pedestrians also cross
(3) Traffic turning right gets the final signal
From my perspective, the main motivation for having an isolated signal for (3) is that it keeps cyclists safe from turning traffic during (2), as all cars in (2) should be going straight.
The problem is that many cars in the right lane end up turning right on red during (2), rather than waiting until (3). This is despite a red arrow for that lane, as well as a signal saying no turn on red. If a cyclist is approaching the light trying to make a green light during (2), it's possible that a car turning right could hit the cyclist.
Personally, this could all be fixed by reversing the order of the signal, such that it goes (3) then (2) then (1).
