CivilServant, thanks very much for your efforts to streamline the requests in this area, but I'm going to re-open some of these bike-rack requests. You're right that one of the main things SeeClickFix does is to help citizens make service requests, but we also do our best foster a public debate on how a community can be improved. I'm hoping that, by leaving these issues open for a while longer, perhaps we can see which specific bike rack requests have the most community support. That will help us and the city to prioritize which ones (out of the very many that the city receives) will be the first to see some action. I'll be posting this same message on some of the other bike rack request issues, so expect to see this message a few more times.
In any case, we welcome everyone to post a comment and put in their two cents about whether having a bike rack in this location would significantly improve the neighborhood, or whether those resources might be more fruitfully expended elsewhere.
Thanks to you, CivilServant, and to everyone else who sees this message for using SeeClickFix!
