6727 Charlotte Pike Nashville-Davidson Metropolitan, TN
There is a bus stop and a large church at this address. Bus riders and church attendees are crossing this very busy section of Charlotte Pike without any crosswalk or traffic signals to visit the mall, access parking and adjoining establishments across the street. It would be helpful to have crosswalk striping at a minimum with a sign to yield to pedestrians. Ideally, a traffic signal should be installed. Thank you for your consideration!

As the two eastbound lanes of Charlotte goes under I-40, the left lane has to merge into the right lane just past the I-40 on ramp. Most drivers in the left lane never see the little "merge" sign way over on the right side of the road, so the "merging" becomes dangerous because everyone thinks they have the right of way. There appears to be enough pavement to run the left lane right on into the left turn lane for the shopping center, but it is lined so that is not allowed.....remove the lines, re-line the pavement so the left land runs on into the left turn lane, put signs up/paint pavement saying "left turn only", and the folks turning into the shopping center will no longer have to merge into the right land to just move back into the left lane to turn into the center....folks going straight will know by the signs that if they want to continue on eastbound Charlotte they will need to merge right as the left lane is identified "left turn only".
I frequently have people in the left lane come over right into me, requiring me to slam on brakes/swerve to avoid a crash...thinking they have the right of way.....very, very dangerout area, and a really easy fix...

Around 7:30 AM every morning there is a huge traffic backlog at the white bridge road merging into Harding pike. They give more time (3 min) for the through traffic along Harding Pike and give only 45 sec. for traffic from white bridge road. Today I spent 17 min right at the junction waiting for 4 traffic lights change from red-green and back to red. Please arrange such that the traffic from white bridge road merging into the Harding Pike has equal chance to go to their work. Many thanks!

The timing of the light at I-40 West and Charlotte exit has been changed so that the light at the Texaco is red when the light at the exit is green. Only a few cars are allowed to turn right and it causes a backup on the exit ramp.

The posted speed limit should be reduced, and/or a traffic light installed between Knob Rd. and Charlotte Pike to reduce traffic speeds. The posted speed limit of 40 is consistently exceeded with drivers going 50mph or more. This creates a hazard for traffic residential neighborhoods adjacent to White Bridge, and pedestrians on sidewalks along White Bridge

Oceola needs to be widened and side walks need to be added. So many people use Oceloa Ave as a by-pass to White Bridge Road and the road is not wide enough to accommodate two cars passing each other. Plus there are always at least 3 groups of kids that stand on the side of the road to wait for their school bus...they should not have to worry about cars passing by so closely to them.

Neighborhood has an excess of Pitbulls and German Shepherds that are not always on a leash or who break their leash and attack other dogs. People with small dogs can not walk their dogs in the area as they are afraid their pet will be hurt or killed. Not safe for small children to be around these animals either.
People who live on this street, DeMoss and Maudina drive at excessive speeds when there are children, pets, and walkers who are at risk.
Stray cats are also a problem. People get pets but do not take care of them and often move and leave the pet behind. These are animals that have not been neutered so the cat population growns exponentially.
