For a few days now, a continuous, heavy stream of water has been burbling up from a hole in the curb at the corner of Maple and Beach in the Manor. The water is running down Beach toward Hazel, making huge ponds. I see some orange cones have been set up around the flood, but I wonder what more is being done. Is this a water main break? Over-active sump? If we were to have a frost, we'd have a real skating rink.
The Village of Larchmont DPW will be there on Tue. 11/24/09 to look for another leak @ the intersection of Beach Ave. @ Maple Ave.
The water leak had nothing to do with the gas leak @ 41 Beach Ave. The results will be posted.
