"Painting" and "repair" work is being performed by a non-licensed entity, Eagle Home Improvement Services, Inc., at The Essex Condos.
This work is being done poorly, all rotten wood allegedly being replaced, when in fact, most of the rotten wood is just being painted over. The wood that is being replaced is not being replaced properly. No flashing, or water preventitive measures are being performed. Old paint is not being scraped off, primer is not being applied.
This "work" is being charged to the HOA at over $110,000. Per NC General Statute 87-14, all projects costing $30,000 or more require a licensed general contractor and a permit. There is no building permit. Eagle Home Improvement is not a licensed entity, in fact, according to the Secretary of State website, they are on revenue suspention as of May 14, 2013.
The property manager, and the HOA board are aware that a permit is required. They had stated in a letter to all homeowners last November that a permit would be obtained by the contractor.

This is the 3rd summer for this house to be in the flipping stage, and it is the eysore of the Sardis Rd area. When giving people directions to our house, we just say, "We're the house next to the turret house on Sardis Road" and they say, "Oh yea, what's up with that house?" Not only is this the 3rd year of ongoing "dis"repair, it's on the 3rd owner in 3 years. Two summers ago, I got the Storm Water Department to threaten that summer's owner with fines until he put up mesh fencing to stop the runoff. The fencing on the street has since been driven into the mud by trucks and cars driving over it and muddy water again runs down the street when it rains. There is a Port=a=Jon on the front porch, a full dumpster in the yard, deck-high weeds in the back yard, and mud, weeds, rocks and runoff ditches in the front. Looking up the address of the CharMeck Real Estate Lookup website, this property is owned by Salvage Auto Supply LLC. We would love to have the property flip completed or have it torn down. Three years and counting is enough! I have more pictures I would love to share with you.
200 Block Lansdowne Road
Cars speed on Lansdowne Road and run stop signs at all the intersections and this occurs mostly between the hours of 7:15-7:45 am. The worst intersection is Lansdowne and Lansing which has a 4 way stop signage. I have contacted the police and I have not seen this issue resolved. There are neighbors walking and kids waiting for school buses and they are at risk.
