Issues: street light
89 Green Street Kingston, NY
The absentee landlord rents to mentally handicapped people so she doesnt have to be accountable to anyone. However, in the last few weeks, one of the more severely mentally handicapped people has decided to use her deck as a platform for her garbage. It is seen by everyone who travels on Green Street, right before you get to the Main Street light.

There seems to always be at least one walk light at this intersection that is out. I have called Public Works about this and the one at Wall & John at least a dozen times. They blame Central Hudson, and at this point (I just called two days ago) they seem to not really care anymore, claiming they don't have the money to deal with it.

This traffic light sometimes will skip the green light cycle and go from red to orange! I feel that this presents a major potential hazard.
This morning at 7:29 I was waiting on Wall Street to make a left onto Front St. I had a red light and the Front St traffic had green. Their light turned red and mine went from red to orange. I never got a green light. I waited for a few seconds and their light stayed red (mine stayed orange) so I decided to turn.
This is the second time in the past 30 days that I've seen this occur (at approx. the same time in the morning) but I thought I was crazy the last time!
Has anyone else experienced this at this light? If so, what time of day was it?

The new streetlights outside UPAC look nice... except that two of them have no globes any more. One's got a naked light bulb, the other doesn't even have that.
The lights need to be fixed, both for safety and to keep the block from looking run down.

The street light in front of the funeral home has been broken for over a year. Occasionally, it will decide to work intermittently, but most of the time it stays burned out.
I've called CHG&E about this light a few times. They've yet to fix it for more than a few days. Calling CHG&E to get Kingston streetlights fixed seems futile, but my understanding is that CHG&E handles the repair work for DPW? In the past, when I've called CHG&E about broken Kingston streetlights, it's literally taken months for them to get around to fixing them.
