When I take my child to WMS in the morning and have to do pick up at the end of the school day- requires that you have to make a U-turn to get to Kingsbury Street. This is very dangerous with the heavy volumes of traffic that you have to manuver to do this. Also, children having to cross Rt. 9 is like crossing a highway, even with crossing guard it is still not safe. I saw someone run a red light just as the crossing guard was about to step off the median. There should be a overpass for the students that walk so they can avoid all those cars!

The park across from 57 River Street is completely overgrown. While it is being mowed every now and then, the trees need to be pruned, and the benches are falling apart.
I know there is an ongoing issue over ownership between the town and state, but the condition is unacceptable.

I have several alumna of Wellesley in my family and have always thought that students would have a more pleasant walk if speeds could be controlled better on Central Street. This is the main route into the town center for many students.

Speeding creates noise and hazards to pedestrians. Ideally, stretches of pedestrian rich areas like this should have speeds limited to 20MPH through traffic calming and other measures. It would be a great plus for the college, and a great plus for the town as well.
