Good Afternoon Mr. Hatch,
In accordance with federal accessibility standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 requires all sidewalk projects to provide an accessible path for all persons. The sidewalk could not directly connect to 37th Street due to the grades of the existing driveway were too steep for wheelchair access, therefore additional handicap ramps were installed to cross over and back.
