A month ago Raleigh posted a notice on the property that the owner would be fined if they didn't remove the sofa and other debris from the yard. Several weeks later, with the help and encouragement of another homeowner to remove the sofa, the property owner relocated the sofa to the end of the driveway furthest from the street and pulled his trash and recycling bins in front of it. This "hidden" trash pile has grown to include an assortment of construction debris such as carpet, carpet padding, a mattress, and other assorted items.
The shed at the rear of the property near the trash cans has a rotten section of roof , water damage and exposed rotting boards. There is also what appears to be an abandoned rusted metal bed frame that based on the amount of rust appears to have been here for years.
There is a loveseat or large chair on the side porch that has been there for over 8 months.
Raleigh, please help clean up our neighborhood and remove the trash pile that you said you would remove in the notice. Fine the owner and if at all possible, force him to sell the home. He is only repairing the home with the hopes that he can make it into a rooming house again.
After his last tenants included a suspected meth manufacturer, we do not need this element in our neighborhood.
